We liked the architectural style of the hotel and the fact it is located relatively close to a subway station. The breakfast buffet could have had more variety and it was expensive for what you get.

the hotel decoration and details are great. The hotel is a bit old and needs better maintenance.

The details are what make 5 star hotels great and this place was disappointing. Internet was nearly unusable because of the weak connection. The bed was low quality and uncomfortable, the outlets were all inconvenient. The shower was awkward to use because of the position of the head, and the water turned hot and cold. Definitely not a 5 star experience

European themed structure in the middle of Beijing. We had a junior suite and it was roomy, very clean with TV in both the bedroom and front room - no fight over CNN or that other ...program. Hexagonal interior with a glass atrium and quiet. Didn't seem half full but we liked the serene quietness. The staff was very responsive with fair English abilities. The breakfast was good but compared to some other hotels I've been to in Asia was short on variety. We checked out one of the in-hotel restaurants. It wasn't worth the trial

I had just left a frustrating hotel experience from Japan and was TIRED. Arrived from the airport with my 2 teens and was immediately blown away by the beauty and decor of the hotel. A doorman immediately got our bags, we were escorted to the front desk, I was a little hesitant. The last hotel we left didn’t have any staff that spoke even a little bit of English and we had multiple issues. To my surprise they had staff available that flawlessly answered all of my questions and put any fears I had, at ease. We were also upgraded to The Noble Room, the suite was elegantly radiant. Lobby decor and all of the restaurants were magnificent. Room service was amazing! This hotel is located right in the historic walking district, transportation (cabs and busses, which is SUPER AFFORDABLE ) right out the front door. Subway is within 4 blocks. LOCAL shopping, restaurants, cell store and pharmacy are within a 1 minute walk. ALSO located close to major historic sights. You’ve got to try the SWIMMING pool, marble floors, everything was just amazing. If you’re looking for Grand Elegance or an affordable option, this hotel is for you. Also Everything is Non Smoking, which is perfect. Will definitely come back.

I found this hotel last year and came again this year when traveling for a conference. Such a beautiful place and welcoming staff. Who would believe that such elegance is affordable?

Although it[s common for everyone to smoke the floor and my room had a combination of smoke and sewage, (I don't smoke). I couldn't continue my stay and checkout after one night and moved to the Hilton.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this hotel. We had only 2 nights in Beijing for vacation, as part of our East Asia trip. We arrived late, but the check-in process went smoothly. We loved the hotel facility and room, which had many adapters, strong water pressure, and a big bathtub. The sauna and steam room, though not co-ed, was incredible. The location is also ideal, right off of Wangfujing street and many food options—you can walk to the Forbidden City in 20 minutes. The only thing preventing me from giving a 5-star review is the horrendous experience we had with one of the female concierge staff (the rest seemed fine)—we wanted to book a full-day taxi service to take us to/from the Great Wall (Badaling), and she actively sought to deter us from going; then, after we booked, she later told us (we were asking about the possibility of iffy weather the next day) that if Badaling was closed, we would not be refunded our 800 yen; she told us many falsehoods regarding the experience, and we are thankful we went to the Great Wall despite her efforts (best part of our Beijing visit). Beware the concierge!

A very nice hotel with spectacular large rooms We had a junior suite which was about 3 rooms Included was happy hour and drinks and snacks all day on the 16th floor where you also get private check in and can have breakfast or you can have breakfast on the 2nd floor also included was soft drinks from room mini bar. We had a couple of early tours and a breakfast box was provided on request. The only things i disliked about the hotel was the pool which in itself was nice however the absurd requirement for swimmers to wear bathing caps was ridiculous and annoying the staff in this area were annoying following you when we went to check out the pool like some formal of pool police. Bathing caps were available at a cost mark up of150%on the cost you can buy one at nearby shops The other issue was poor quality WiFi in the room it was a constant problem.

Even better than the Ritz or Geirege V. Just amazing!

We booked the family room. It's very spacious for a family of five. It has a large area for family gathering between two rooms. The hotel is located in the middle of the shopping district and major sight-seeings.

Great stay in their 'family suite'. Best price in the city! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious and clean. We didn't care for the over-the-top fake gold and blue decorations throughout the hotel but the rooms were really great. We wish we had more time to spend in the hotel.

I had a quick layover in Beijing and all I wanted to do was sleep! Very quiet, comfortable, relaxing room! No disruptions at all. Highly Recommended.

This is the best hotel I stayed at. It says 5*, but trust me everything about it is 7*. I had a chance to interact often with Italian girl (Chiarra) who made sure that I had the most pleasant stay. She is the poster child for exceptional customer service. It seems that everyone working there was the same. Also, it was my birthday, and they sent me the whole cake to the room. I highly recommend this hotel. Location is very central.

This is one of the most excellent hotel I ever stayed and it crossed all my expectations. It just happened that my B’day fell on a date when I was staying in the hotel and when we came back to hotel in the evening, there was a cake and card for me. A very good gesture by hotel staff. Also very good location. There are couple substations at Walking distance. Also walking distance from major tourist attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, great staff. I only have one suggestion for this hotel. Please be quicker with Check in and Check out. It took me about 20 minutes to check out in the early morning hours when I was the only one in the lobby. Check out should take no longer than 5 minutes. And when I checked in there is no reason why it takes a good 15 minutes when also there was no one but me in the lobby. Beds are comfortable but not as comfortable as 5 stars in US. Staff also very great with the exception of checking in and out.
