Hampton by Hilton London Luton Airport3.0 out of 5.0

Me and my boyfriend stayed here the night before our flight to Rome. It was clean and the room was spacious. It did everything we needed but the bed was a bit hard and you are only given 3 pillows instead of 4. We probably wouldn't stay again as we didn't like the Luton area but this is no reflection on the hotel. You have to pay £7 for parking which I think is quite cheeky when you pay £70 for a room.
Lets be honest, you're not going to stay here for a holiday so having said that it serves its purpose. clean, close to airport, breakfast served from 6.30am, and good value. Wouldn't go back through choice as has the feel of a very transient place. Literally nowhere to smoke outside except by the from door, rubbish for other people coming in and out and rubbish for me as if its raining, cold or windy, then I just get to suck it up!
Last stayed here in December 2015, left a great review. Well, nearly 2 years later, I'm glad to report that nothing has changed. Had a really chilled out 3 nights when not at work. All the staff were helpful, namely Antony and Ugne. Nice to see Anna again! The Pizza was as delicious as it was 2 years ago. I cannot recommend it enough. Can't wait to stay here again. Thank you!
nice Hotel, clean. quiet. Friendly staff. close to LTN airport. Room was ok with walk in shower. Breakfast was nice (well fried eggs not available) all in all nothing to complain. will come back one day!
This hotel has inadequate parking facilities and there are no local alternatives. In replies to some of the one star reviews here, the hotel clearly says that they cannot guarantee parking. We arrive during a rain storm and spend 30 minutes driving around the car park, trying to get a space. We were in competition with other arriving guests in the same situation. When it became clear we would not succeed, we tried to leave and found the barrier would not lift unless we paid. There is a help button on the barrier, but it does not work. The nearest payment machine that works is not in the car park. It is in the hotel, 200 m away. If you are alone, you will need to park your car and walk to the machine. But this will gridlock the car park if there are no spaces as the lanes are narrow. There is no one to carry luggage. We arrived soaked and had to queue for quite a while at reception. We arrived in the room and found no room service menu. We called reception, but there was no reply. I went down to reception and was told that they do not have room service, but there is a restaurant. After drying out, we went to the restaurant to find it deserted and closed. The bar staff told us it only opens for breakfast, but there is bar food, which we ordered. There were only three thin pillows in the room. We asked for more, but they were never provided. The toilet door is unhygienic. The same sliding door serves as both the wardrobe door and the bathroom door. You can only close one at a time. When the bathroom is closed, the back of the door is about 18" from the toilet bowl and certain to be contaminated by the fecal plume when the toilet is flushed (c.f. Discovery Channel). When the door is returned to the wardrobe position, the same contaminated part of the door will now be in actual contact with clothes in the wardrobe. This door is also physically dangerous. I was hanging a shirt when my wife came out of the bathroom and opened the door. I received a hefty blow to the head. There is no sofa in the room, just a single arm chair. If you are a couple and want to watch TV, one of you will need to sit on the bed. Breakfast seating is inadequate for a hotel of this size. There was a huge queue and a long wait to get seated. This was not a surprise as there is a card that warns "Peak times are 09:15 am - 11:00 am, when queues are to be expected." Food quantities were inadequate and ran out quickly. There were also long queues at reception when leaving. There is a card slot over reception saying "Manager on Duty" but we never saw a name card in it during our visit.
I've stayed here because the location is great for business around the airport area. The rooms are very tidy and surprisingly their complimentary WiFi is good enough to support VPN and remote desktop connections. In one occasion I also used their gym, which is quite small but has all you may need for a short session, including water and towels! For me the highlight to finish off a good night sleep has always been their complimentary breakfast. From 4:30 you can have continental breakfast, which may be excellent to set you off if you have an early flight from LTN. From 6:30 onwards you can enjoy their beautiful English breakfast, and also some very nice croissants or even make your own waffles! If I have to repeat Luton, I would be staying here every time I could =)
I have stayed at the Hampton on many occasions as it is the hotels picked by my business travel booker. I can say that I have had a good stays there but I can also say that I have had bad stays. It is an unusual but regular thing to see school children come into the breakfast area in the morning and shovel the croissants and jam portions into their lunch boxes. The staff do not seem to be remotely bothered by this so I have decided it is amusing rather than confusing. The reception staff are a mixed bag from brilliant to uninterested. The same can be said of the bar staff who always seem to be new/training.
Stayed in this hotel last night. Wasn't expecting much as all the hotels I've stayed in around Luton Airport seem to accommodate flightcrews and seem quite functional in nature and very basic. This hotel also catered for flightcrews but was clean, modern and extremely well run. All the staff seemed to be foreign and a lot of British hotel staff could learn a lot from them about customer service. It was exemplary. The bedroom was compact but well appointed and clean. Very impressed and this is where I will go first when I return to the area in future.
It was a good size room, unfortunately what I was very disappointed was the parking., it was expensive. You are basically paying for the room separately, which is a big lump sum and then parking. I believe the parking should have been free for the customers.
This is a modern hotel, it appears that it is mainly used by people staying one night before catching flights from the airport. It was clean, the room comfortable and the check-in was good. I am writing this review and giving a bad rating because despite a serious request the hotel manager has not bothered to call me. Outside the front door of the hotel is a low hedge, the rats living in that hedge are some of the biggest I've ever seen, I know you're never far from a rat in the UK, but this is a sizeable colony of sizeable rodents and they are a health risk. There was a prostitute stopping men in the hall ways and trying to arrange "dates", Definately a poor image that security was that lax. When I complained on check-out and asked for the manager to call me all I got was an inane grin and a suggestive remark from the clerk. They have a nearly captive market, that market may drop bit if public health see the rat problem and the police have to go and sort out the prostitute problem.
