My wife and I traveled to the Jungfrau region (specifically Beatenberg) to visit family heritage. We found the area comfortably less overwhelmed by commercialism, than Interlaken. Those who stay at the Beausite will enjoy the company of Rita and Kaspar, who act not just as proprietors, but as guides ...
This hotel was our favorite in a two week trip throughout Europe. The view from the balcony is spectacular! The rooms are comfortable. It's a short walk downhill from the hotel to the train station. It seems a lot longer going up! There is a grocery store in town. You have to go to the Jungfraujoch. ...
I have stayed in Edelweiss several times. I think they have recently upgraded their rooms which makes them even cosier. This time I stayed in the single room 101. Had a great time. The direct view of the Jungfrau Eiger and Mönch mountains is simply stunning. The staff was friendly and helpful.

An OK stay. Bed had foot board - can't fit into bed with one. Belatedly - on 2nd day - made full accomodation by removing it. Sort of Ikea furniture in room. Redeeming virtue of place is super friendly family owner/operator.
Excellent location to Jungfraujoch ... Since the train station just in front of the hotel. We joined an early morning train that provided a discount and had enough time to do trekking to Jungfrau Hut.
The hotel is very attractive and has many beautiful decorations. 67 clocks to be exact. Also the breakfast was excellent.
Great hotel, clean, beautiful amenities, balconies and views. The rooms are clean and comfortable, bath accessories are top notch, overall a nice Luxurious experience. The pool and spa was fantastic. Only tidbit is the attitude and behavior of the staff (not front desk, but restaurant staff) sometimes can be rude. Maybe this is something that is unique to Switzerland and people traveling from US are used to staff going above and beyond. The restaurant staff makes weird little comments to make the guests feel uncomfortable and have strict by the book attitude instead of being accommodating that you need to be when guests come from all over the world. For example, We were told not sit at a table that had no sign, and later that table was given to some of hotel staff friends or maybe owners friends.
