This was my second visit to Interlaken and first stay at this hotel. I was there with my friends and we all had a great time here. This hotel has amazing sauna facilities. I loved the spa facilities. The indoor heated swimming was amazing and the breakfast was one of the best. The rooms are spacious and clean. Not to forget the view. It is amazing. Excellent staff. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.
We stayed here for 2 nights during our recent road trip around Europe. The drive to the hotel is on a long winding road which just has fantastic views, scenery and lots of quaint villages. Everything you see on a postcard or on TV/Movies is right there in front of you. We arrived late afternoon after a long drive and were lucky enough to get the last two parking spaces at the front of the hotel. When going to reception we were greeted with a huge and warm welcoming smile and were made to feel very welcome. The children were both given a teddy bear each which just totally made their day. Check in was easy and no hassle and directions to the room were easy enough to follow. The room we had was absolutely fantastic and the pictures didn't do it justice. Our daughter thought it was fantastic that it was on two levels and the fact that we would not be tripping over each other. The view from the balcony was breath taking. We would have been happy to spend our two days there just looking at it. We dined one evening in the restaurant and the food was lovely. The service was good and the kids were made to feel very welcome. We utilised the use of the free bus pass that you are given and went into Interlaken for a walk around. The bus stop is outside the hotel so no long walk and you can enjoy the views whilst waiting. We used the pool whilst we were there and we did enjoy it but the water was a little on the cold side and it was quite busy as well but towels and robes were provided. This was the perfect pit stop to recharge our batteries before continuing on our trip and it is somewhere that we would definitely return to.
We stayed 2 nights in this hotel, we enjoyed more than expected. The view from my room is amazing,it's better to take room in main building and level above 9 , my room is at 10 th. room is very clean and wide.it have a kitchenette but all instruments are closed and must buy to open it , coffee machine is available for free. The hotel has a covered swimming pool and playing area for kids . The breakfast is good but have little things but I enjoyed . The best thing in the hotel is the view from your room it's amazing, you forget everything and flying in your dreams and listen to nature sounds only. You take bus 101 from interlaken to hotel it take aroud 25 nim . There's a market just beside hotel, And also bus station . I recommend this hotel for everyone and I hope to come back again
This hotel is situated in beatenberg and has a beautiful view of lake thun and the surrounding mountains. The rooms are comfortable and massive. However I recommend this hotel only if you have stayed in interlarken before. Going up Nd down from interlarken west via the bus 101 takes almost 30 min one way. The bus is only once an hour from the hotel so if you miss the bus then you will waste time. Getting from train station to the hotel with luggage is also an issue. Taxi cost from train to hotel is almost CHF 50. The other negative about the hotel is that there is no air condition or fan in the room. The days we were in interlaken was hot and it was uncomfortable to sleep in the night. Breakfast was decent- however I was surprised to see that omelletes were made from eggs from a tetra pack!! And the chef at the egg station would either undercook or overcook( burn) the eggs. There was just one bread toaster and the queue was massive. The hotel also offers self laundry service but please don't use it during busy season- I ended up wasting 4 hours just waiting for washing and drying machine. The hotel has just 3 washers and 3 dryers. But if you have been to interlarken before and are planning a 2nd trip then this hotel is a great place to stay and enjoy the views.
We stayed at this property during a three day holiday to Interlaken. The views of jungfrau are amazing. The location about twenty minutes from Interlaken is ok if you have a car but limiting if you need to us a bus. The property itself is in need of renovating. The breakfast selection is limited and disappointing for anyone who has traveled around Asia or Africa and stayed at a four star hotel. The most disappointing was the general attitude of the staff. They were polite enough but curt and not very friendly. Certainly did not make the guests feel welcome. The first place where I have stayed a few days and not gotten to know even one of the staff members. Maybe it's a Swiss thing because we felt that the people were generally not that friendly. I was expecting outstanding Swiss hospitality and I was disappointed. Maybe the wrong hotel or the wrong time of year but just did not connect. Unlikely to be a place I would go back to.
Views are stunning. Five minutes walk from the mountain cable / trolley so you can go up above the clouds where you can see some heavenly scenes or go down to the lake and take the 19 century boat. Bus stop to Interlaken is at the hotel's doorstep. The food is OK, but the most important thing is the cleanness of the hotel rooms. When there, make sure you visit the cave of the dragon. Europeans like Asians seem to believe in Dragons after all! This place is also excellent if you are planning a short and special honey moon. Your partner will love you more for it (trust me).
Property is good. View is spectacular. Interiors are good. Comfy apartment is very nice. If you're staying for 2-3 nights I recommend this hotel. But not for a long stay, as I did. I stayed for 16 nites. The management policy for Housekeeping is atrocious. My bedsheet was changed only "once", and that too on my insistence. Carpets were never vacuumed. Dusting was rarely done. Only towels are changed. Balcony is not cleaned. I was shocked! Most nights I tossed the bedsheets myself as I couldn't sleep on a bed where the sheets weren't ever tossed or flipped. There are toiletries available but not given. One day I noticed, in the housekeeping trolley parked outside my room, that the hotel could provide bedroom slippers, shower gel, shower cap and so I insisted upon these necessities. The hotel doesn't provide a Kettle with tea and coffee . They have a coffee machine but not electric kettle. Upon my request I was given one but, it was the ancient gas one without a whistle so you don't know if the water has heated or not till you keep checking. Other than this, the staff in the restaurant and at the reception is very hospitable, kind, and warm. Even the housekeeping girls are very nice, its just the top management policy, not the housekeeping fault. The GM is "not" a hands-on warm hospitable man, as one wld expect. However, if you email him for information and requests he is more than forthcoming and helpful. The location makes up for the uncleanliness but, like I said, for a few days its good. Otherwise I would not stay here as cleanliness and housekeeping is a must for me. I like to return to a clean and pristine room and sleep in a bed of changed sheets that are clean...I also didnt like the attitude of the GM when it came to the hotel dropping me to the station. I had requested if the person who drops me could help me load my luggage onto the train as i had 3 bags. I was told that wld not be possible. It was off season and just need an extra 20 mins. However, the Swiss man who dropped me, showed Swiss hospitality, and stayed to help me with my luggage. Swiss hospitality is lost coz mostly personnel employed arent Swiss but migrants from other countries. The Swiss I have observed are very particular on kindness, and extremely helpful people. This quality made me love Switzerland. Just dont expect this from hotels and restaurants that employ non-Swiss. I admire the owners of the property for making such a beautiful resort in the midst of the Swiss Alps with a view you cant get anywhere on earth!
try to get 12 or 13 floor , views r so nice , 14 floor got no lift , very nice location ! nice n clean apartment, covered parking, both lakes can b seen from hotel. i was in that hotel in 2012/13 , it was good experience , ill recommend it.
First of all, the drive up to this hotel is very cool! You're surrounded by mountains, most of them are snow-capped. Many people stay in Interlaken because that's where most of the activities are, but there's a free bus/shuttle that takes off every hour or half hour from this hotel. I definitely preferred staying up in the mountains, enjoying nature and the views!! The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. They are used to very excited guests arriving and asking many questions. If you just let them talk and explain everything, I can assure you that most of your questions will be answered. I had many questions to ask, like many, but Kira, the lovely lady who was at the front desk, answered everything I needed to know. She provided maps and brochures as well. The first questions you may have is, "will my room have a view of the mountains?" The answer is YES. Guests have views of the mountains and the staff stay in the front part of the hotel. Mirco was another very helpful staff member, answering more of my questions that I had throughout my stay. This is an adventure town so if you're in the mood for some fun, be sure to ask what activities Beantenburg and the surrounding towns offer. I went sledding "sledging" nearby at Neiderhorn Mountain. The gondola to the top of the mountain is walking distance from the hotel...ADDED BONUS! The views from up top are even more spectacular than from your hotel balcony. If you're going to go sledding and you've never done it before, be careful! I went when it was icy and flew RIGHT off the course because I couldn't stop myself. I didn't get hurt, but it's no one's responsibility but your own if you get hurt. In terms of the hotel itself, the rooms could use a little update. The bathroom shower is questionable and the bathroom door itself needs an update. With that being said, I would definitely come back to this hotel in a heartbeat. I didn't even sleep in the loft bedroom (which faced the street) because the couch was big and wide enough for two people and I just had to wake up to that view every morning.
The hotel is perfect! Cosy beds, clean bathroom/kitchen, wonderful view. Our room had 2 floors and the access for the bottom floor was through a spiral staircase - a bit dangerous for small kids, but our 6yo was ok. The staff is very helpful and the leisure in the hotel is great (they have a sunbed machine for the guests near the swimming pool for 5 CHF per 8 minutes - Can you believe that!? - you go to the cold weather and gets a tan on the hotel!! 👌🏼😃). Swimming pool and sauna with robes and clean towels, gym, kids play area. Breakfast is very good and there is a "omelette bar" with lots of toppings made as you please. We were in love. The restaurant is ok, but expensive. There isn't anything close to buy food, so when going to Interlaken, do the shopping before coming home. 🙂
