The staff was fantastic and the hotel extremely clean. We enjoyed the swimming pool, fitness room and the complimentary breakfast. We had great access to our rooms. The location of this Hampton Inn was perfect for our group. I would stay here again and recommend to all my friends and coworkers. We needed handicap parking and found it nearly every time we parked. The Hampton Inn could use a few more handicap spaces. Overall our four day stay was wonderful with no complaints. Couples with children seemed to enjoy their stay and the swimming pool. The evening warm cookies were a plus. We truly enjoyed them.
We were staying here for 5 days while we bowled in a bowling tournament in Baton Rouge. Check in was a breeze. Lobby was very clean with an updated decor. Computers available to print out airline boarding passes. Lemon water and coffee /tea available in the lobby at all times during the day. Cookies baked daily available in the early evenings. Large area available where an above average free self serve breakfast is avail on a daily basis from 6am-10am. Even for a late riser, selection was good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. With two double beds, the rooms were a bit small, but no complaints. Cleaning staff was very considerate and helpful. The front desk staff was always available for questions. They assisted us in providing some suggestions with local restaurants that we could visit for local cuisine during our atay. Copies of menus to the establishments were available and maps were provided to us to assist us in navigating the city. Very good suggestions! Outside Pool was small but clean and well maintained. Plenty of chairs around the pool were available. The hotel also has plenty of FREE self parking available in a well lit lot. This hotel was a great option for those of us traveling downtown. Restaurant options here were much better and closer than the options you had if staying downtown. Definitely consider this hotel if visiting the Baton Rouge area!
This is a really nice place to stay with standard comfort and cleanliness that you would come to expect at a Hampton Inn. The location close to Louisiana State University and the interstate is a big plus. The only negative would be the fact that you are so close to the highway that occasionally you can hear it.
This hotel is VERY noisy due to its location by interstate. Also, we woke up one morning to have window washers staring us in the face at our window! We should have been notified not to open our curtains in our pajamas!!!!!!!
The room looks nice, but it is near I-10, so we could hear more big trucks than we are used to. Hot and cold breakfast were included. We found the room a little cramped for four people. It was clean, though. We could not connect to the WiFi, and we do know how to do it. We think the room was just too far from the base. We were in the last room on the hall.
Good local for our trip with welcoming staff, good rooms and great staff attitude and friendly. Good night sleep and AM breakfast. Enjoy stopping in Baton Rogue on some trips. Right off I-10 with other hotels and restaurants nearby. Have stopped here many times.
Extremely satisfied and comfortable at the Hampton Inn Baton Rouge on our way to San Antonio for convention. Needed 3 rooms and was pleased when desk agent said they were available. Quiet night even though a baseball team was staying there also.
The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay at this property again when visiting Baton Rouge. The staff was professional and courteous assuring that they provided quality service. There was easy access to the freeway, shopping, restaurants and other places that met my need. I recommend this property to travelers who want clean and comfortable accommodations.
Easy to find from freeway, renovated old building with 8 Floors. We arrived around 11pm. Front desk clerk more concerned with his laptop and head phones then greeting us properly. He never told us about breakfast, check out time etc. We were told we got the last room despite having a reservation, and we were lucky because it was the furthest from the freeway noise. Well, don't know how lucky we really were. Our room, number 822 was indeed the last room at the back end on the top floor. My name for it is the Tilted room. Why? Because it tilts from the outside in! I was so creeped out that I almost left. This room was like a pig with lipstick. Thank goodness my child didn't notice. The hallway by the elevator smelled like cigarettes. I won't be returning.
I have been staying here for over 10 years at least twice a year. The staff is friendly and the room is clean. I saw some people mention traffic noise. I have never had a problem with that...and I am a light sleeper. Really nice breakfast area. Ask them about the local Italian restaurant that delivers to the hotel. Yum!!
