Our stay was great. From our greeting at the front desk, housekeeping and breakfast attendant the staff here were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, quiet and breakfast was a bonus.

Not BW chain std as expected as told hotel is now privately owned . Security patrolling halls on 1st night -unsure why . Police present next morning in hotel - no reason given to guests - feeling of unsafe . Stayed 2 nights . Was not informed of construction around hotel prior to booking which made for a very noisy and dusty stay - in morning - found our parked car coated in layer of dust ! No toiletries provided in room unless requested , which I did each night and had to go pick up myself at front desk- no delivery to room as limited staff . Adequate bkft but very limited seating regardless of time , so guests taking bkft to go or back to room to eat .Bkft only till 930am each day . No light housekeeping ( eg change towels , empty garbage , high touch wipe down, replenish toiletries ) provided unless requested - which I again did prior to 2nd night stay - but not done . One elevator in hotel - long wait (5-10 min ) as constantly used by housekeeping staff w/ trolley & equipment - so had to use stairs - issue for those with mobility issues and on upper floors .Location not great with limited dining options and construction . Pool ok - indoor and not heated - no hot tub as told was sealed over . Price - too expensive( 300$ per night ) for what it is worth. Will not recommend this hotel moving forward .

I liked the compliment art breakfast and level 2 EV Charging station. I disliked the Kitchenette without plate, cup and only one glass. I disliked the room clean- up policy you have to ask to get anything done. Worst, on last Day I asked twice for clean towels without getting them (9:00 AM and 5:00 PM) We finally borroed towels from the pool, out of despair

The property is run down and not being well maintained. Our room had a variety of stains on the carpet, curtains and furniture. Not to mention a very nasty smell. At about 10:00 pm we actually had water dripping from the ceiling. Staff were lovely and did what they could. We were told the owner would be told and would “do something” presumably some kind of discount or credit - still waiting to hear from them.

Clean, Spacious and well stocked room. Hotel is quiet, Breakfast is good (Bacon and eggs). Staff was great to deal with and extremely helpful & friendly. We added an additional room the second night for our kids and it was seamless. Have stayed here twice now and will stay again the next time I'm in Barrie.

You should really clean up all the cigarette butts around the bench. It would make a huge difference, Just want to mention the cupboard door where fridge is was hanging off. To just fix something this little makes a huge difference of your thoughts about the room because they are really nice rooms. Go fix the little things. Other than that it was great and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was great and the lady there to help was so kind.

The location is good for driving out to destinations and quick access to the main highway and to downtown. There was no warning about road construction in front of the hotel in advance but the staff were quick to change our room away from the roadway so there was no issue for us and our room was quiet.
