Great location near Passage de Gracias and a 10-15 minute walk to Sagrada de la Familia. Very modern & contemporary, clean and fairly spacious room. After a long day of travel and rainy weather, room service was a great option: quick service, helpful staff and delicious salad and tapas!

Room is quit dusty. Walls are thin and you can hear everything from the hallways. Cleaning ladies are very loud when cleaning. Wake everybody up. Location is very central though.
THIS HOTEL IS A STEAL!!!!! WE RENTED IT THROUGH ORBITZ AND PAID $85.00 /NIGHT. AT THIS RATE IT IS FAR BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE WE SAW. THE ROOM IS COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN THE SHOWER--OUTSTANDING. ALSO YOU CAN HAVE A FULL BREAKFAST FOR AN ADDITIONAL 9 EUROS. IT IS WELL WORTH IT BUT DOES LIMIT YOUR DINING EXPERIENCE IN BARCELONA, AS WE MISSED LUNCH EVERYDAY BECAUSE OF THE LARGE BREAKIE, WHICH IS SERVED UNTIL NOON. FANTASTIC LOCATION FOR WALKING. 5 STARS ONLY

Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. Location was a bit set back from tourist areas, but walkable to busier areas like Passeig de Gracia. I didn't care for the ultra contemporary decor with the totally dark hallways painted in black. Breakfast was included every morning but outside of that there were no amenities in the hotel.
The hotel was close to everything without the noise or madness of the busier parts of the city. The room was small but the enormous shower made up for it. The service was impeccable and it was nice to come home to a clean room with a welcoming scent (even when we headed out late one day, around noon... we still found our room cleaned). The breakfast was more than just a continental style and included scrambled eggs and bacon and the best part, tortilla de patatas (a local favorite). The only thing that could have been better was if the curtains in the bedroom completely blacked out the sunlight in the morning. Other than that, everything was amazing. We plan on returning to Barcelona, and when we do, we will definitely stay at Roomate Carla.
This was our favorite place to stay in Europe. We went to Italy and France as well. This hotel is central and easy to get to via Bus. The bus and trains are always on time. Also it's within walking distance to high end shopping and casa batllo and mila. We loved it and would definitely stay there again!
