A rare property right on 6th Street in the heart of the West End! 2 bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, plus a twin daybed in the living area. The front patio is private, overlooking 6th Street with seating and lighting. A fully stocked kitchen and breakfast area make it easy to entertain and cook your own meals. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer and everything is provided to do laundry. Easy parking. Bathrooms and kitchen are newly updated, beautiful hardwood floors, lots of light and located in the coolest neighborhood in the Live Music Capitol. Walk to bars and restauarants, Whole Foods, Waterloo Records, boutique shopping, Auditorium Shores (ACL), Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail and Zilker Park.

Kay was a great host - helpful, responsive, and kind - and she gave excellent Austin advice! The house was great. Better than advertised and exactly what we needed (I wish it was mine!). It was clean and comfortable, the design was well-appointed and very “Austin”, with plenty of towels and bedding, and large bottles of Aveda products everywhere. There are guitars, a turntable, and an excellent record collection to enjoy. Some of the kitchen equipment could be upgraded, but it’s a perfect location for a home base when you’re exploring the city and want the comforts of home. I’ll definitely be back! Shared advice: Don’t miss dinner and drinks at Nightcap across the street!

The property was exactly as described. Perfect for our foursome. Kay was simply wonderful to work with and was prompt with answering our questions. The beds were good, parking was easy in back of the house, having a full size laundry was a bonus, and the water was nice and hot for our showers. Would definitely stay here again!

Happy stay in a happy house

Happy House Bungalow was super cute and comfortable. It had everything we needed and the location was great. The neighborhood had many restaurants within walking distance and close to all attractions. Kay was an amazing host. I would 100% recommend. If we find ourselves back in Austin, I would stay there again!

Kay was super easy to communicate with, and the place was very comfy, cute & clean! Loved the Aveda products, made the whole thing feel elevated. Good to know that this house is on 6th, which is busy and has road noise, but it was also so centrally located that we didn’t care!

SX oasis

We stayed at the bungalow during the SXSW festival. In addition to being adorable, it was just far enough away from the action to provide a quiet haven in the evenings, and just close enough to be very convenient. Kay was incredibly attentive and provided every accommodation we could possibly have needed. We really enjoyed our stay!

This is Austin at its finest

Kay's home is what Austin is all about! Retro, comfortable and charming with everything a visitor could want. Excellent communication from Kay in advance with detailed check in and parking instructions. The home is conveniently located to make our way around Austin. Perfect Location and Wonderful Property

This is the perfect location for visiting the heart of Austin. Everything you need is either within walking distance or short drive to restaurants, bars, or shopping. The property itself is perfectly set up with two bedrooms and full baths and an additional daybed in the living room. The unit is fully outfitted with towels in the bathrooms and very well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Our host was nothing short of amazing. Our enjoyment and satisfaction were her first priorities. Thank you for a wonderful weekend in Austin!

Charming House in a Fantastic Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Austin. We arrived on the later side due to flight delays, however owner Kay was very responsive and accommodating. Location is walkable to many areas of Austin, as well as food& beverage options, and if you consider yourself active, you can walk over to the hike and bike path which was a nice way to get some movement in after long travels.

Cute bungalow within walking distance to some great Austin delights

Four friends on a vacation. Host was excellent and very responsive. The whole experience was great, and the only reason it did not receive a fifth star on location was the traffic noise was a little much at times. Bring earplugs or white noise to cancel the sounds. Otherwise, cannot recommend this place enough.

Great for a girls' weekend

This purple house was the ideal location and size for a few friends to get together in Austin for a long weekend. While it's a bit of a walk to downtown, it's certainly doable. However, the house is quite close to Whole Foods, which was convenient for grabbing snacks and drinks! The front bedroom may not be ideal for someone not accustomed to road noise, but the back bedroom is much quieter. (And such comfortable pillows!) I would definitely stay here again.

Very Cute House in Cool Neighborhood

Kay has a very cute bungalow house. It is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, galleries and clubs. The furnishings and decorations in the house are chic and hip with a nice homey bohemian vibe. We had an excellent Austin experience staying here.
