Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour

We stayed here for four nights and the staff, rooms and view of the harbor were all excellent. The hotel is walking distance from very cool neighborhoods with many dining and bar options. The hotel is on the end of a wharf with the various ferry’s about a five minute walk. Would stay here again if in Auckland.

I love what I do but it's great to be surprised by a hotel. Right from pulling into the forecourt, through to opening my room door I was impressed by the high standard of the decor and the supportive, as well as friendly staff. Dinner was a medley of scallops, followed by charred octopus.... all entree size... finished with modern bread & butter pudding. Really enjoyed the French atmosphere and background music. Beds comfortable and for location hotel area was very quiet. Opened the curtains to a rainy day and proceeded to enjoy a healthy breakfast but with some slightly naughty pastries with a coffee. Recommend this location for business travel or lovers 😊

Home from home when I am in Auckland. This is a stylish hotel with good facilities, excellent food and first class service. Riri gives a great massage which is well worth booking the spa for and the only criticism I have is that they charge for late checkout, even if it is only an extra hour or so.

We had a complimentary stay here thanks to our Accor membership. The service was excellent from the moment we set foot inside. We enjoyed a delicious anniversary cake with the most sumptuous macaroon and we're quite impressed with how they had gone out of their way to handwrite our lovely card. We highly recommend it for comfort and top notch service. We are definitely going back!

Nice, convenient and quiet location, very friendly and efficient staff (greeting you in French, strangely). Very comfortable room and bedding with all the amenities expected at that level, good coffee machine (very useful when you wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning because of the jet lag). A negative point is that you cannot watch the TV from where it is located (at least in my room). You have to move/turn the furniture towards the bed or the sofa. Rather annoying! Also beware of privacy! Most rooms are very exposed to indiscrete eyes from the surrounding environment because all the external facade is of glass and transparent. So you have to be careful when to draw or open the curtains!!!

Warm welcome after long overseas flight. Concierge staff made recommendations. and reservations for sightseeing and wine tours. Waterfront location is perfect for walking to restaurants, ferries, and shopping. Room was quiet, exceptionally comfortable and large enough for luggage for extended stay in New Zealand.

The team (Linh, Kyle & Serena) at Sofitel Viaduct are incredible! Stayed here for a very special night after I proposed to my partner in October 2017. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything was sorted out and set up as I requested. The room was spectacular with a marina view, balcony and luxury bathroom. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a true 5-star experience within Auckland City. Will definitely be coming back for another stay. Thank you very much!

We have stayed here before and we got an upgrade but this time we didn't and just got the standard room. It was nice and had all the things you need and can't fault it. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious and the service was great especially at breakfast. I had room service and that was really nice too. My sister had a room as well and they loved the place.

We stayed at the Sofitel sadly for only 2 nights as part of our honeymoon. Upon arrival, which was VERY late (about 1:30am), we were greeted with smiling faces. We had a gorgeous room with a city view. From our balcony (each room has a lovely balcony), we had a view of the sky tower. The room itself was stunning. Well appointed fixtures and the bathroom was very luxurious. Of course the comfortable bed allowed for an amazing nights sleep. The continental breakfast we had in the morning was wonderful! We also ordered room service one night and found it to be quite excellent. Overall, we are VERY happy we chose to stay and hope to stay at further Sofitels!

Stayed for two nights for a conference and wish I could have stayed longer. That bed! So comfortable. Lovely hotel with attentive and friendly staff and only a hop, skip and a jump from the buzz around the viaduct.
