My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel DeBrett on our trip to Auckland and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very unique/cool, in the perfect location and had friendly staff. My compliments to the restaurant which was excellent and well priced. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Auckland and looking to stay in something different than a conventional high rise hotels.

We stayed at the DeBrett for 3 nights earlier this month. The hotel is delightful. The quality of the updated guest rooms is terrific. We loved its small size and comfort. Every staff member we spoke to conducted themselves with outstanding professionalism and courtesy. Its location in the heart of the Auckland central business district can't be beat. If we return to Auckland this hotel will our first choice.

We really enjoyed our stay at the DeBrett - so much so that we came back again when we returned to Auckland a few days later.

Great Location ~ 5 Blocks from the cruse terminal, 3 Blocks from Bus lines Great Staff Beautifully refurbished

There was a staff who tried to charge for my son for 400 dollars per night to stay in the same room for 3 nights which could cost us 1200 dollars extra. Most of people who are working for this hotel are very good and it is a pity that they have somebody who can cause much problem to the customers like our case.

My wife and I went on a trip to Auckland for a 10 year anniversary. This was categorically one of the best hotels at which we've stayed. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The amenities were top notch and the location couldn't be beat in central Auckland. We were able to walk to all downtown locations within blocks (5-10 minutes). Additionally, the location was great for any day trips since we could easily be picked up from central Auckland or take ferry. There are an abundance of great restaurants within 5-15 minutes walking. One minor detail was that plug in internet was not available. Wifi was great, but you had to keep getting new codes every 100 - 1000 MB. Not that we were there to play on the internet, but when we had to do some minor work, it took a bit longer and was sometimes interrupted running out of allocated download. If you're planning on a business trip, this may be a little more of a downside, but for a fun trip, it was of minor significance. Morning continental breakfast was decent. Cappuccinos were excellent. They also have an evening cocktail with free drink if you're around hotel at that time. They have a great drawing room (library) that you can chill out in as needed. Overall, bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious and cleanliness was excellent. Decor was awesome and there was a lot of attention to detail in design. The hotel is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. In the end, we had a great time and the room, location, service and staff were superb. I would recommend this place highly!

Right in the middle of downtown Auckland, this boutique type hotel oozes charms & a funky fun vibe. Excellent bar & restaurant but what really set it apart was the friendliness & attentiveness of the staff. Will choose Hotel DeBrett whenever I stay in Auckland.

Great location, staff could not do enough for us, average continental breakfast, heated bathroom floor, ultramodern designed rooms. Minimal closet space. Be prepared for high prices in New Zealand.

This hotel is ideally situated in downtown Auckland. Transport is extremely easy from this location. The hotel has been designed perfectly and was extraordinarily comfortable. The staff was warm and gracious throughout my stay. The complimentary continental breakfast was delicious and included a variety of items. I would not stay anywhere else in Auckland.

Great location, safe and accessible. Rooms perfect size with artsy interior. A bit noisy at night, but not overwhelming. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. Would stay again and recommend.

If you enjoy mid-century modern decor you will love this place. Room was great and the bathroom glorious. The welcome Cocktail and the Continental Breakfast were very nice. Looks to be a very well managed business in a great location.
