Very strange electric switches. Some worked others didn't. Some switches no where near the lights. Made no sense and very frustrating. Also very slow service from bellmen . Restaurant staff need better trainings. Just ok stay.

breakfast menu was awesome! Excellent facilities, unfortunately the communication among the desk staff was a bit of a let down as we were told yes to an early check in. But instead had to wait around another 3 hours. I also think, that any extra costs or “bond” for the booking should be highlighted or clearly mentioned in hotel policies & or upon booking confirmation. Other than that, the hotel in general was awesome, very friendly staff, clean rooms, buffet breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend

Our stay at the JW Marriott Auckland was very good. Room was clean, beds comfortable, and the hotel staff assisted us with all of our transportation needs. The location is wonderful, within walking distance to the CBD and harbor area. Highly recommend.

Our check-in was great, as was the Breakfast Buffet which is a great addon value. We were given an upgraded room per our Bonvoy status; however, we had a disappointing experience with housekeeping, that did not show up after repeated requests, and got a ‘partial’ room refresh at 10 pm at night after our 3rd request! Finally, the bed was made and towels refreshed but that was all. Nothing was cleaned, the trash stayed in the bin, the used glasses stayed as is, and empty water bottles were not touched! No toiletry amenities were refreshed. This kept us up and away from our room until 10:30 pm! This is not expected at a JW! The front desk did offer a small discount for the ‘inconvenience’ but nearly not enough. Overall, I would say an underwhelming experience.

Room was clean and comfortable. The valet/bellman was very helpful with the bags and getting us packed up and ready to go to airport. The breakfast buffet is very nice but on the first morning we got a really bad table in the back and were kind of forgotten by the staff. coffee came after we finished eating and no one came to ask for egg orders until like 30 mins. the next morning it was way better in the front of the restaurant near the window.
