If you're looking for a getaway where you can enjoy stunning natural beauty, great weather and friendly people, you may want to fly to Four Corners Regional Airport (FMN). The area is where the four states of New Mexico, Utah, Arizona and Colorado meet. If you visit, you'll have easy access to outstanding sights, such as the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest National Park.
Four Corners is close to several outstanding national parks and recreational areas that highlight the natural beauty of the Southwest. After you flying into Four Corners, you'll be just a short drive away from the Trail of the Ancients, which is a National Scenic Byway that connects several of the area's parks and public areas. The road also runs through the area where Puebloans lived centuries ago. At the Mesa Verde National Park, you can check out their ancient cliff dwellings.
To make it easier to get around after you fly to Four Corners Regional Airport (FMN), you may want to rent a car. Public transit is accessible, but you'll be able to see much more with your own vehicle. Farmington, Durango and Four Corners have several scenic byways, including the San Juan Skyway, which travels the Dolores River between the San Juan Mountains.
