Enjoyed our stay. Matt and Jimmy at concierge desk were great help in planning our trip. Friendly staff and lovely wuaint hotel in middle of city center

Overall giving this hotel 5 stars. Location, Location, Location. Easy walk to all the key parts of Auckland, particularly the waterfront, as well as shopping district. The room was very clean and functional for a three night stay. Bathroom could use a bit of updating. I didn't eat at any of the hotel facilities. Front desk staff were very welcoming and accommodating, allowing me to use the upstairs facilities to shower later in the day after checkout before going to the airport.

We loved this beautiful hotel. It was close to restaurants and attractions and our apartment was amazing.

Great hotel located in right downtown. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchenette was nicely integrated into the room and included a toaster. It as incredibly spacious. The entrance and lobby area are very nice. They have valet parking and less expensive street parking is available, but limited and there is a parking garage across the street. The room was one of the best I stayed in Auckland. I plan on returning on my next trip.

Nice room, the only negative thing is the wifi 500 mb for day... Location awesome

The Heritage is our preferred hotel when we travel to Auckland. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable.

What a great hotel experience: walking distance to everything in the CBD, lots of unique character, the pool and hot tub were amazing, loved the apartment style suite with kitchenette, separate bedroom, and washer/dryer. Wish they would include free internet with room, even 30 minutes per day would've made me ecstatic. It was literally a MIRACLE the staff allowed us to check in early at 7am for no extra charge - wonderful after a full day of flying from the U.S. Would stay here again and again.

Everyone we encountered on the staff couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. The room we stayed in for the first three days of our vacation was a quiet one that overlooked the courtyard restaurant. The only drawback was the tub shower tended to spray some water beyond the partial glass doors onto the floor. When we came back and stayed in another similar room at The Heritage for one night at the end of our vacation, water leaking through the glass door and spraying beyond the glass partition and through the front of the partition where it was joined to the wall was a much bigger problem and flooded the bathroom floor. Also, in our second room when the toilet was flushed, there was a loud plumbing noise that must have been disturbing to other guests. However when we mentioned a thumping noise in the room above us, staff immediately sourced the problem to a guest doing jumping and weight exercises and notified the guest that it could be heard in the room below. The breakfast offered by the hotel was bountiful and delicious. The service was prompt and always friendly and accommodating. The hotel is conveniently situated close to the centre of town but on a quieter street. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Heritage and would stay there again

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was perfect. I was near every place we needed to be near. It is right around the corner to CityView. The staff was first rate. We did not eat there. There was a Denny's a block away (love my American breakfasts) and a Korean BBQ Buffet a block away also (my wife is Korean) so we never had a chance to try the restaurant. My wife said she did not like the bed (too short and uncomfortable), but she did seem to sleep well and I found not issues. I like the old "Department Store" feel it had. The wood floors we great and the rooms huge.

However, had to walk a short distance to our room on the Tower Block

Perfect location if you're on foot and the bus lines are 1/2 block away and easy to use. Staff is very friendly and helpful

HERITAGE was an oasis for us. A great location makes all the- need- to- see things at most a twenty minute walk. Very nice restaurant in hotel. I really appreciated the gift shop; it was complete AND fairly priced. Saved me time and money. Only negative was the control of room temperature - I was either too warm or too cool.

Stayed two days and had nothing but positive staff, great location and comfortable room.

The hotel is in a superb location for exploring Auckland. Our room was very large and is the only hotel that we have ever stayed at that had a washer, dryer, and dishwasher in the room. No extra charge. We had a superb view of the harbor and a balcony. The staff was especially helpful with all of our requests. Bedding was comfortable. Nice large bathroom.

I had a very good experience at the Heritage Auckland. The New Zealand rugby players were staying there as well and there was quite a festive, busy atmosphere in the lobby lounge the day I arrived which was the day after their victory. The staff was very helpful and the dinner I had in the restaurant was excellent (garden salad and scallop entree). I also had room service for a dinner that was also very good (beef fillet). I was given a 2 bedroom room which was very spacious. The decor was not my taste, but it was simple and clean. the location was great for walking to Queens Road, the main street for shops and cafes, and the Quay area.

This was the last night of a three week trip thru New Zealand. If this had been the first night all other accommodations would have paled in comparison. We were upgraded to a suite: balcony with great harbour views, sitting area with sofabed; tv's in sitting area and bedroom; kitchenette with full sized fridge, drawer dishwasher, oven and microwave; bathroom with separate shower and...washer/dryer. We had booked a twin room but with the upgrade the bed was a non-convertable queenbed. The staff were quick to make up the sofabed for us. Great location: one block to the Sky Tower, four blocks to the wharf area or Queen's Street shopping. Free WiFi or internet access would have completed the package but we had to pay $5 for 30 minutes...

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Location was nice. I will stay here again.

Went there to do a course in the hotel. I think it's a great hotel, friendly staff and I do only have good words for everything what I experienced.

On arrival we were confronted with the reality that the hotel did not have our reservations booked through [...]. After what seemed to be a long time of uncertainty fortunately for us the hotel finally came up with a solution and got us into a room. Not the standard we had booked but at least a place to rest our heads. I have to give credit to the hotel that they went to great efforts to find us two rooms. The next day we were transferred to rooms in the category booked. [...]Fortunately for us the hotel was understanding and cooperative this time. They really went out on a limb for us.
