The property was good enough for a pit sop while traveling but it could stand for some more TLC. Paint chips fell on me while in bed. Location was great.
Clean and comfortable
The property is going through remodeling and construction. I was amazed at the patience and hardworking staff. We noticed a woman working in the laundry with heaps of bedding everywhere, but silently and efficiently completing her task. The receptionist was courteous and friendly. Such incredibly diligent folks.
No coffee and took a long time to get hot water but was clean and nice, very close to a decent, family owned and run restaurant.
I liked being on the first floor so close to my car.
The room had a smell of smoke and a greasy like film on the floor.
While the room was newly refurbished, the exterior was very filthy. There were questionable looking people just hanging around the outside area. At 11:00 pm and at 2:00 am, someone who was somewhat inebriated knocked on the door, disturbing me and my dog. I was told by the desk person that city of Spartanburg rented quite a few of the rooms for ????? Which required security on each floor. Had I known this I would have not booked this room.
Don’t stay here if you have children. This hotel has a lot of homeless people hanging out on the property 24/7 and some of them stay in the rooms as well. We had someone call our hotel room phone saying “hey man Whatsup” clearly from someone that stayed there before us which was a little unsettling. Maybe it was innocent maybe not who knows. Not amenities, the bed was terrible and the pillows were flat. The price was great but now we know why.
Comfortable; updated; clean. This is a smoke-free motel but smokers sat on the kerb outside the rooms to smoke.
Room was freshly painted and clean. One mattress was in very poor shape. The chair was old and very worn. The motel was very dimly lit. The group of folks gathered outdoors when we arrived was unsettling because of low lighting. Once in the room we were comfortable.
Room smelled like smoke. Sheets were somewhat wet ( like they weren't dried all the way). Mini fridge did not work very well and room didn't seem that clean.
We stay at Red Roof Inn because it is pet-friendly. The staff here was very pleasant and efficient. The only drawback was being so close to other guests who were a little loud after midnight.
The ice maker wasn’t working the price was good and the location was nice
Receptionist and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful.
