the room smelled like it was doused in lysol or some other disinfectant minutes before we entered. Seemed like they were covering something up. Woke up with a sore throat.

You could tell it was an older property and the owners do enough to get by.

This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The shower

The room was dingy and had a musty smell. The place needs an upgrade.

We stayed at this hotel because it was decent looking from the pictures and a reasonable rate for a hotel in the area. Unfortunately, prices were higher this weekend than others for the area but we were attending a wedding and had no choice in the timing. However, I still would have expected a MUCH higher quality place for what we were charged. This is not a hotel, it's a motel. It's extremely sketchy from the outside and somewhat gross on the inside. The beds were old looking and not comfortable. The faucet for the bathroom sink barely worked, the water pressure was extremely low. There were a few bugs killed during our stay. Overall, it was just not a great place to stay and I would not return.

While visiting colleges, we found ourselves without a hotel room and unbeknownst to us it was peak fall leaf season. After being unable to find a room for under$350 on line, we came upon this Econolodge for $200/night. Only 1 smoking rooms was available and we took it out of desperation. Even after opening the window for 2 hours, it smelled gross, burn holes in the bedspread, the bottom sheet was too small, no shampoo, HVAC system was loud, etc. Just keep driving!

the room was clean and comfortable. would stay again. hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. it allowed smoking which i really liked and the price was great.

Got bites all over body after staying here. Room was overpriced, even for a Sat. Night. They only gave two small hand towels.

Could use some updating. Cleanliness could be improved.

Got a really bad vibe from hotel staff. That's all I'll say.

Fun trip great hotel great location and the staff was extremely friendly would recommend

Easy to find. Several restaurants within short driving distance. Nice basic breakfast. Appreciated the large brochure display in the lobby. Helped to learn about local attractions.

Exactly what you would expect. Clean and conveniently located

Walked in and the guy at the desk didn't even look up. It took him an uncomfortable amount of time to say anything, and made me feel like a burden while he took a solid 5 minutes to give me my room key. The room smelled of smoke so strongly that it was hard to sleep but after my first run in with the front desk guy I thought it probably wasn't worth my time to discuss the matter with him. Will definitely spend a bit more next time for a quality experience.

For the money and the last minute reservations it was alright. Our room might of been by the laundry room, because there was a steady vibration through the wall the entire time we were there. Other wise it was decent hotel.

Looks ok from the outside, parking lot looks safe. Major plumbing issues. We discovered before going to bed that the shower did not work. After going down to the front desk, they told us they were already aware of the problem, but they were full and had no other room. Then they offered to let us use a shower in another room that was unrentable due to carpet being wet from another plumbing issue. The room was on another floor and the carpet was soggy, and I don't want to think about how neither the tub or toilet would drain. The owner was not available that day, I did get his number and have left messages for him twice to which he has not returned a call.

The staff did not tell us upon arrival that there would be cobstruction happening late in the evening, and it also started at 7am. The parking lot was closed which caused huge trouble. The man checking me in was very unprofessional and was swearing while checking me in. When I mentioned these problems to another employee they did not seem to care. also, the room was not very clean, ashes on side table.

This was by far the worst hotel, motel experience I've ever had. I pulled up to half the parking lot being dirt and rocks. I figured they might be repaving but after further infection, there were no signs of improvements. I checked in and went to my room which had a smell that burned my eyes and turned my stomach. The best way i can describe it was "a hundred wet ashtrays." I had requested a non-smoking room but the manager stated that they were completely booked up and had nowhere else to put me. I went to the local grocery store to buy candles which helped a bit but not much. There were weird stains on the walls and shower curtain. The chain lock had been ripped out of the wall. I'm fairly certain the room had been used as a drug den of some sort previously. I purchased two nights but only stayed one because a friend took pity on me and allowed me to stay with her. The final nail in the coffin was when I returned to the room on my second day and was preparing to shower when a woman (I believe she was the owner) walked into my room. Shocked, I looked at her and said "Hi." She pointed at the towels she had in her and and walked to the bathroom and out them down. I did not feel safe there and decided I'd rather sleep in my car. Luckily I have good friends.

This place has seen better days. The outside and inside are old and not well maintained. Staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was very very limited.

This hotel was a good price and very close to the mall and not far from downtown Asheville. Room was small and bed wasn't the most comfortable but the room was clean and cheap.
