Did not honor the rate and room type!

I booked and paid for a room with 2 beds, when I arrived at the property, they put us in a room with 1 bed, when I told them that I booked a 2 bed room, they charged me $20 for an upgrade! I showed them my receipt from hotels.com and they still insisted that I pay the $20. It was late and I paid it. I brought it up with the person on duty the next morning and they refused to refund me the $20, they said that I needed to get refunded from hotels.com. If this is how Wyndham properties operate, they should not be featured on hotels.com. I will never stay at another Wyndham property!

Convenient and easy to find. Negatives- we booked a room that was supposed to have a fridge. On arrival we were told if wanted a fridge we would have to pay full price for another room. Once in the room we found there was no safe, despite the description saying all rooms had a safe. When we spoke to the receptionist and pointed out there was no safe and that it said there was on the description, she said she knew it said that, but none of the rooms had a safe. She was not very friendly. This is misleading. Lastly, if you are a couple, it only allows one device on Wi-Fi. Never had this issue at any other hotel.

I had issues with my experience here. I did the online check-in and had to redo it because my license was rejected due to expiration, it should have alerted me to attach my current license. I had a problem with the room, there was no chair for my desk, I had to stand to do my computer work that evening, There were about 2 dozen chairs out front in the parking lot, I guess getting some Sunshine as disinfectant. I almost went and got one for my desk but they didn't leave one for my room. I was disappointed with the economy based breakfast, no eggs or meat. I completed a survey from the Microtel with a low rating, they replied asking for details, after an extensive set of texts they told me to contact the on-site property director to seek a refund. I called and asked to speak to the person and was told the person was busy and would call me back and 4 days later STILL haven't received a call back. I chose this place thinking it would be a cut above the lower priced options nearby, it was my worst travel decision in years. Follow up for customer service is LACKING and disappointing to say the least. Be careful when you set your expectations. I cannot recommend staying here for basically simple reasons. I offered them solutions to my issues. I am affronted by not even getting the courtesy of a returned call to speak to me. I expect to see the standard "automatic" reply to this "Sorry for your issues, please, give us another try. I don't see me trying another one.
