Westcord Art Hotel Amsterdam 4

I stayed here when my wife was attending a conference nearby. We booked a junior suite, which was reasonably large and well equipped (Nespresso machine, kettle, mini-bar). However, the design was a bit strange and there were no bedside tables, which is a bit inconvenient. Car parking is rather expensive. Food in the restaurant was of a reasonable standard, much better than most hotels. Service was friendly, but not very efficient. Breakfast in our room was a bit of a disaster, since our order had basically been ignored: orange juice instead of grapefruit, lots of cold meat (which we don't eat), tea served with hot milk, only one english breakfast teabag, the rest being herb or fruit teas.

We booked a junior suite and it surpassed our expectations! Room is spacious for 2 people (even with 4 luggages). Very comfy beds! Bathroom is also big enough. There were art pieces in the hotels which were pleasing to the eyes. Elevators are no problem. Breakfast is above average, although they do not change the menu for the 5 days we stayed there. Location is less than 5minute casual walk from a Bus Station (Oostraanzaat). However, it's a little confusing since in the bus monitor guide, the Oostraanzaat doesn't show but only Spaarndammerdijk. I'm not sure if it's the same. It's about 10minute away from Central Station. Buses come every 10minutes or less. However, if it's early morning or late night, buses come later (about every 20min+). Service is above average! Staff are nice and courteous. Shortcomings: - Limited drink water supply! They said we can drink the tap water but we were hesitant. Hence, we have to always request in the ground floor/cafe for water. - I don't think the kettle is that clean, which is why we were hesitant to use it to heat the water. - No nearby business establishments like grocery stores or restaurants. It's a little dark in a portion of its alley during late nights but is still safe, though. Nevertheless, still an above average experience! We got what we paid for. Highly recommended if you want peace and quiet at night! (Unlike if you stay in the Centraal Station area).

The stay at the hotel was great. The bed was comfortable and the nespresso machine was an awesome perk. The only negative point about the room was that the TV brightness was so low that it was hard to see what is on screen. No comments on features besides the room as I didn't use them. The location of the hotel was good. Easy access to the nr 22 bus which connects Centraal and Sloterdijk. Also walking to the center wasn't too bad considering the beautiful, quiet streets and a park on the way. The problem I had was that I booked a room ~10 months in advance and a few weeks prior to the trip, I got the information that they are overbooked and would need to relocate me to their sister hotel. After agreeing to the relocation, they came back and said that there were cancellations and I can still stay in the Art Hotel. The process took about a week and it would have been more hassle if I had not been fortunate due to some cancellations. During the check-out, it was revealed that among my bill is a bike rental. Had I paid less attention, I might have even paid for this even though I never used the feature. Thankfully the staff was understanding and removed the charge. I don't believe these issues would happen often but I wanted to bring them out as they were part of my experience. In general I still recommend the hotel and would use it again myself if I return to Amsterdam.

Very cute hotel with friendly and helpful staff and very nice decor. It’s only 15 min to start of city centre and 10min to Westerpark. 30 min to red light district by foot but the hotel has bikes for use.Breakfast is great with a wide variety of food for all tastes.

Nice hotel, great and clean rooms, nespresso coffee in the room. Very friendly staff and they also made our request to have adjacant rooms for our children possible. Bus at a 6 to 7 minutes walk from the hotel right into the centre of Amsterdam. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel as was told it was walking distance to Zigga Dome when in fact is 20 minutes drive away that said so pleased we did. Perfect for exploring Amsterdam on foot staff very friendly and the rooms were excellent! Lifts to all floors with coffee making facilities in the room nice bar area and breakfast was great. Would definitely use this hotel if visiting again , one tip is use the Taxis that are connected to the hotels as we found the prices charged for the Uber taxis was sometimes 6 times as much. !!!

the hotel is very well situaded anc confortable, the room size is perfect, we got the room earlier that was nice as well, staff accommodating, just problem with the fridge we could not open to put the cheese we have bought to bring back to France and the reception didn't answer to our request. Perfect breakfast, 5 minutes bus from the center. I recommand this hotel.

This was our first visit to Amsterdam when we arrived staff were so helpful especially Steven who checked us in and advised us on how to get around the city. The room was amazing very spacious and clean. We stayed for 3 nights and the room was cleaned each day with fresh towels. Hotel is in perfect location with the bus stop outside leaving you at central station in about 5-10 minutes. Could not fault the staff or hotel at all we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Luxurious well appointed rooms; great location - close to bus. Very personable and accommodating reception staff who provided lots of good information and advice. Lovely restaurant/bar area with reasonable prices for late day eating, and friendly, committed staff.

We arrived early after a trans-Atlantic flight. We were greatly relieved to be checked-in early and got a room right away. The staff are very helpful. The room itself is comfortable and clean, if a little tight for space. There is a safe in the room. For an extra charge, you can get a wonderful hot and cold breakfast buffet. The only problem with the hotel is its location: We couldn't find any decent restaurants within walking distance, and always had to catch a bus to go anywhere. The good thing is that the buses run every ten minutes and only take fifteen minutes to get to the centre of town.
