Hotel was nicely decorated, room was large and comfortable. A little tricky to find the property entrance from the road! Unfortunately a couple lamps were not working in our room, and we didn't find this out till we were ready for bed. Told the front desk the next morning and they seemed like it would be taken care of right away.
Room was really nice Staff was great The door didn’t close properly to our room but must be a foundation thing but my concern was safety for my kids. The indoor pool was wonderful my kids enjoyed it!!
We only stayed one night but for the price this hotel was a good fit
Clean, safe, good breakfast
The front desk staff that I had to deal with was not the friendliest
The building was maintained, and very clean. However, the rooms need some updating for sure. The bathroom door won’t open all the way because of the shower curtain, so it was very cramped. The carpet had holes and cuts in it, and the walls had dents and tearing wallpaper. We were there during a wind storm and it made the windows split and let in a huge draft and whistle loudly. We had to stuff the windows with towels to get it to stop whistling.
I've always enjoyed staying at this property and have done so many times. Pool and pool area is terrific and staff are typically great. One of the reasons that I enjoy this property as much as I'd I is that their breakfast was always on point. However, on our most recent stay my wife and I were unpleasantly surprised with the breakfast. Eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy and pastries, etc. NO sausage or bacon though. As a diabetic my go to is sausage / bacon and eggs. Everything else that was offered was/is not a good option for me. Eating just eggs was not enough and we had to go out for breakfast which was disappointing. Still love the property however and will likely stay again.
Dated, but clean and well maintained
This was our second stay here. We like the quiet location, on the west edge of Amarillo on Soncy Dr and I40. Lots of shopping and dining choices nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is nice, featuring the typical food and beverage choices. This hotel is priced well, which was a deciding factor for us. New guests should be aware that the room furnishings are comfortable, albeit rather dated and tired looking. We do not travel with pets but noticed that this hotel is pet-friendly.
It was homy and comfortable!
Cleanliness
One of the best hotel chains, by far. Super clean, very comfortable and perfect to stay at if you are traveling with little ones.
Every Country Inn I've stayed at has been clean and homey, and this was no exception. If I'm ever in the area again I will be staying for a second time. By far the best hotel chain I've been to!
Highly recommend this hotel.
Air conditioning did not work and it was 107
Rooms was nice and spacious. Area aroumd property kind of ugly. Other dog owners don't clean up after their pooches poops so not pleasant to walk my dogs.
