Room smelled like mildew so much so I went and purchased baking soda and put it out in cups. If I wasn’t so busy and barely there, I would have absolutely found a different hotel. Disgusting in the hallway the elevator is disgusting even in the bathroom. It looks so rundown.

Mold we found in room 400 was treated with bleach. The bleach smell was very strong. We asked to be moved to another room and were accommodated. Ceiling in bathroom in room 400 was peeling and had open hanging spots. I have stayed at this hotel before without these issues, so this was disappointing. Staff were accommodating.

There were many people registering for a confererence in the city and only one elevator working. Also, the hotel advertised on line, a complimentory breakfast which ws not honored. Our room was to be for handicap accessiblity but was not.Our ages are 91 and 85. We could not use a bath tub with no traction on the bottom and no hand rails. It was, however, comfortable and clean.

The pool was closed during our stay. The sign said “closed for maintenance,” but it was completely green, and no one attempted to clean or repair it the entire time we were there. It looks like they simply shut it down for the season, which is fine, but they should not advertise a pool if it’s unusable. It was August, still in the 90s, and we had been looking forward to using it. The property itself needs a professional deep clean. The halls, elevator, and rooms all had a noticeable odor that seemed to be masked with air freshener, but the only real solution would be carpet cleaning and thorough sanitizing. Breakfast was also disappointing. At over $14 per person after tax, I expected a higher-quality spread. Instead, it was the same basic options many hotels include for free—powdered eggs, grits, and a few standard items—with no waffle maker or other upgrades. Finally, the check-in experience was uncomfortable. Several staff members were sitting in the lobby having a loud conversation about drug use and addiction. Regardless of whether they were off the clock, that type of discussion in front of guests is unprofessional and off-putting.

I liked the location of the property. It was easy to go where I needed to go since it was downtown. The one thmg I did not like was the $14.95 for breakfast, which meant I had to leave the property for meals.

The lobby area was spacious and convenient. The hotel is close to local attractions and easy parking. One of our guest an elderly woman tripped in the bathroom and skinned her knee. The hotel did not have a first aid kit and I had to go to Walgreens nearby to get bandages/large band aid and anticeptic spray. The bathroom door came off the track about half way closed and would not move. Also the toilet seat would not stay up. One male, two females,that's a problem.

We chose this hotel because it seemed like the best choice in the area. It’s a little run down but that would be ok except the pool was closed. I came here with my daughter after dropping my son at camp with the idea of hanging out together at the pool for the evening On check in I was told the pool was closed because it rained yesterday and it needed to be cleaned. It rains everyday so if that’s the case it will never be open. Too late to cancel. Later I looked at some reviews on a couple of different sites and found people complaining about the pool closure since the beginning of July. So the whole rain excuse is a lie. The pool is just closed. Also the “restaurant” is just a sandwich shop. This hotel is falsely advertising their amenities and I definitely would not have stayed here had I known of the pool closure and restaurant. Also the AC unit in the room is obnoxiously loud
