I have always stayed at a Marriotts and have always been pleased. Unfortunately,this trip was a whole different experience for us.When we first went into the room we noticed there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher.Not a big deal,I don’t mind starting the dishwasher to clean the dishes.Then we started noticing the sticky counters in the kitchen and all over the fridge.Also,in various places around the room.It was already late so my husband went to the store and got a container of Clorox wipes. I was able to clean these areas.The next morning when we got up I was tidying up the bed and at the foot of the bed on the sheet under the comforter, I noticed blood, dried blood.Neither me nor my husband had been bleeding.We did not notice it the night before because we were exhausted and just wanted to go to bed.My husband went down that morning and let the front desk know that there was a blood found on our sheet and they said they would have someone come tidy up the room.There was no apology. Nothing trying to make it better just “we will have housekeeping tidy up the room”.That night I was extremely sick and thought maybe I had caught a stomach flu.The more I think about it the more I think I might’ve caught something from that room.It was absolutely filthy.The next few days I spent in the room sick from the stomach flu or whatever it was that I caught.My trip to NY was ruined.Our stay was for 5 days.More than half of my trip was spent in this room being sick.Very disappointed!

This seems like a newly renovated building, which is nice. The first kitchen towel I pulled out to use to dry my hands had food particles all over it. Then when I went to shower, the body gel provided was pretty much empty and someone had put a little water in the bottom to try to make the last little amount left useful. My husband went to go get bar soap, and let the front desk staff know, who said nothing. The very least I expect is soap in the bathroom. Disappointing, for sure.

The dishwasher turned on at 2am while we were sleeping. It was loud and did not have a on/off button. We were told by front desk that we have to hold down the button to turn off the dishwasher; as if we should automatically know that.

Convenient location and infrastructure good. However, experienced some big drawbacks. Our reservation was for 4 people (2 adults, 2 teenagers) in a king room with sofa bed. The bathroom did not have body wash from the get go. The first person showering noticed there was absolutely no body wash on the dispenser. When we went to reception to ask for body wash, they told us they could not find any, so they gave us some small hand soaps and told us that the next morning, someone would come and give us the body wash. We were only given 3 sets of towels, so we had to go downstairs to ask for another set of towels. The next day we were out for the whole day - when we came back in the evening, the promised body wash had not been provided. We went to the front desk to ask for it and they went looking and came back saying they did not have body wash so they could offer us more hand soap bars. We were also surprised that the room had not been made - we were told that housekeeping is only every other day but this was not explained either in the reservation details or at check in. We had to ask for new towels as we had put them on the floor for them to be replaced during housekeeping. We were given 2 sets of extra towels. I had to request more. Overall, really not what I would expect of a Marriot Residence Inn. Providing body wash is a basic part of what one pays for. Communicating frequency of housekeeping is critical too. Lastly, we had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed.
