Business stay wasn't there for pleasure room clean and spacious. Would stay at this hotel again.

I live in Albany, but had friends staying so chose to just get a hotel room. The room was comfy to sleep in, if not a bit tight but that was more because we had 6 people in a two-queen room. Paying for parking is unfortunate but also the reality in downtown Albany. I thought the staff -- particularly the cleaning staff -- were incredibly nice.

Nice room, good breakfast, ran out of plates. parking cost extra with valet service, guys working the valet were awesome!! Close to alot of downtown restaurants and theaters.

Extremely clean & comfortable rooms. Only drawback is they require valet parking for $15 unless you want to park on the street. It was a weekend & we got lucky w/ street parking, but I saw lots of 'No Parking' signs around the hotel. (Hopefully, we won't get any surprise charges on credit card). Otherwise, very nice.

Old hotel, needs upgrades. No refrigerator. Coffee maker is old. Chips wrapping found in room when we check in. Toilet paper found in the commode from previous guest. Nasty!

I have stayed here many times on business trips, but had not wanted to use their fitness room until this trip. I found their equipment to be about 3-5 years behind that of other Hamptons where I have stayed. First, for the number of guests, the facility is VERYsmall. There were only 3 treadmills and a single elliptical and cycling units for a total of only 5. I saw several guests come to work out and leave since there was no open equipment. The guests who wanted to work out with weights and doing calisthenics had to squeeze themselves into the limited amount of open spaces. Most fitness centers I have used in the past several years have the option to watch TV directly on the exercise unit (treadmill, elliptical or bike) with personal earbuds. This facility has only two wall-mounted TV's for shared access, which required the volume to be blaring over the noise of machines and only two machines could realistically view the screen. One of the TV was positioned so that no one ever turned it on (thankfully, since the sound from two TV's blaring different stations in that small space would have not been fun). Overall, their fitness center was too small and severely under-equipped for the volume of guests wanting to use it, and had very out-dated equipment. The elliptical was badly worn out and made terrible sounds and vibrations when used.

Terrible parking, Dirty Jucuzzi, Icey Parking Lot bad restaurant on site.

awesome rooms and service friendly staff good breakfast and good location

The trip was great, The first room we were given wasn't up to snuff (messy bed etc) and they moved us right away.

We stayed in a King suite and it was perfect for a family with small children. We could walk to the capital buildings and Lark street. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was decent for free hotel breakfast. Scrambled eggs were good, also had western omelets, sausage patties, make your own waffles, assorted cereals and pastries, juices, coffee, etc. Stations were continually being refilled. Eating area was very clean and comfortable.

Good location. Close to highway. Staff was very welcoming. Bathrooms could use a little updating. Great restaurant on property, dp, highly recommend it. Have to pay for parking $14.50/night. Great valet and front desk staff!

Front desk staff unprofessional. The bathroom room fixture is rusty, blood spot on the comforter. Pillow case was not change although a sticky notes states that they change it daily. Pillow case has dark spot on it. Will not stay at this hotel again. Room was noisy which we complained the night we check in but nothing was done to it. They promised to change our room the next day but it took them 2 days before they reluctantly allow us to change it which by then is useless as we are only staying for 3 days.

I chose this hotel for two reasons- I like The Hampton Inn line and it was close to my son's college. The check in was quick and the staff was extremely pleasant. If you are looking for a place to eat - ask for Wallace - he's the man! Room was nice but tired - needs freshening up. There was a renovation board in the lobby so maybe that is happening soon. Beds were comfy. There was a nice variety of hot and cold items for breakfast to start you on your way.

A nice downtown hotel experiencing updating of some rooms but we experienced some specific problems with our room - the door to the bathroom was very difficult to open or close, which was especially noisy late at night. Also, the air conditioner fan ran but the compressor was broken as it did not cool the room on a very hot and humid August night. When I informed the asst manager the next morning, his reaction was a bit disappointing- he immediately called maintenance to address the issues but did not give me much of an apology - I certainly did not feel that the 100% guaranteed satisfaction that the sticker on the front desk promised had been met. I will not stay at this specific hotel again but will continue to patronize Hampton Inns as I have always had a good experience previously.

Convenient to walk to historic sites. While there is a valet charge, they are so very helpful. The valets directed us to a shortcut to walk over to Empire Plaza. We were squeezing in sights so were glad to have a quick way around downtown. The bathroom in the room was great: large . and well-equipped. The only complaint is I would have liked a clean window to look out.

Clean, modern hotel with large, comfortable room and with all of the amenities. They provided a great breakfast (included in the price) which many hotels no longer provide. Staff was friendly and the hotel was in walking distance to the dance school and the Palace Theater. Great stay!

I loved the rooms. I like that theres a little kitchen space (counter space, fridge, sink, microwave) because I had my infant son with me. Didn't like that there wasn't any room service or food after 11. We had to order from the surrounding pizza shops.

The staff was lovely. But I wasn't 100 sure the sheets had been changed. Although they appeared to not be soiled. They were kind of wrinkely and I saw a couple of hairs in their that were NOT mine. If I hadn't been so exhausted- I would've said something.

We were in town for only one night stay. Toured the Egg, the Capitol and the New York Museum. Enjoyed our day of touring. We were very happy to arrive at The Hampton Inn and Suites. The parking was very convenient the Staff in the Inn was very helpful in finding a good place to have dinner. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was varried and delicious. The Ladies taking care of breakfast were very, very nice and helpful. Great stay.

The hotel was convenient for visiting the capitol and museums. After two reminders, several were delivered to the room. Breakfast was not best but there was a good variety of foods to choose from.
