Really nice place to stay ! Only hotel I will stay at when I come to Akron . Nice staff, very clean environment as well as a nice location not far from the highway or food places at all. I love this hotel
This place is a dump. I stayed here Dec 2017 for just one night. Unfortunately, I made the same mistake twice. They somehow managed to make this "hotel" even more unpleasant. Three years ago the GM responded to me here on TA " ...this Radisson has undergone thorough renovations... updating every inch of the entire hotel. The exterior, including the walls and parking lot, and the interior, including all guest bedrooms, lobby and restaurant have been almost all completed..." I was shocked that I had to exit the only operating elevator, so a member of the cleaning staff could get her cart on the elevator. There just wasn't enough space for me, her and the cart. I guess hotel operations take precedence over Guests. The Lobby was trashed upon my arrival, and worse the next morning. The cleaning of Guest rooms and public areas is half assed at best. I cannot tell if they are under staffed or just don't care. Either way, I will not return here. In the future, I will be very skeptical of this brand, but more likely avoid it completely. Do your self a favor, DO NOT stay here!!!!!
The Executive rooms are large and have some nice features for the price (mini fridge, microwave, etc.,) and a sleep number bed. But you get what you pay for. The rooms are NOT clean -the coffee maker I wouldn't use, the ceiling vent in the bathroom was full of... I don't even want to know what - some kind of lint/dust/yuck? (Grab a swiffer and clean those out once in awhile!) the toilet seat was broken, the vanity mirror was covered in dust (and more of the stuff from the ceiling vent) and the carpet hadn't been vacuumed in a very long time judging by the piles of dust and hair behind the couch, floor lamps and under the desk around the perimeter of the room. The bonus were the (I think) stink bugs that were crawling along the ceiling on day 2 & 3 of our stay, which was impressive since this in northeast Ohio in December. I bought a pack of disinfectant wipes and cleaned the room myself, I wasn't even going to bother asking housekeeping to clean. Only one elevator was working and there was some kind of party (or two) during our stay that left the lobby and elevator areas trashed - smashed candy & chips all over the floors along with confetti. The front desk personnel were frustrated that maintenance wasn't available to clean up. I would have at least grabbed a broom and swept up the larger chunks, the hotel certainly wasn't busy. We were in town for a funeral and referred other family members to a hotel down the street. We really needed the sleep number bed otherwise we would have switched hotels.
I am still impressed by the staff at this hotel! We had an issue with one side of our sleep number bed the first night we stayed here. The next morning, we reported it and within 20 minutes, a maintenance worker was there looking at the bed determining how he could help. When they figured out the repair would take a long time, they moved us to a new room, free of charge and even threw in some extra free drink coupons for the bar in the lobby! Everyone was extremely nice and made it their duty to resolve the bed issue as quickly and painlessly as possible. The rooms were clean, nice and spacious. Well-lit also (which is a big plus for me!). There was a pool and a hot tub which I didn't get the change to use, but will definitely do so when I come back. The rate per night was affordable and we really got the best bang for our buck in my opinion. All the staff members we crossed paths with were extremely nice and it didn't feel forced; they were completely professional and genuine which I really appreciated. The coffee in the lobby was really good too and my husband loved the cookies! Do yourself a favor and book a room here for your next trip! You won't be disappointed :)
The people at the desk were nice and friendly. The room seemed fine except for the entry foyer into the room and the bathroom floor. These floors were filthy. Not just spotted or spilled on but grimy like they hadn't been washed in a couple of months. It was creepy because it makes you wonder if they change sheets between guests. Bed was comfortable.
Decided to stay here based on reviews and price. The staff was friendly, the room was large, and it is a good location. We didn't like the sleep number bed - not sure if it was old and lumpy or that is how the beds are, but it was not comfortable no matter what the setting. Our room was not cleaned one day - we left late, so maybe that was why. The front desk did supply us with coffee pods, creamer and bottled water which helped. Unlike other hotels they charge extra for breakfast (we did not eat there), and there is no refrigerator or safe in the room. We probably would not choose this hotel again for those reasons.
nice lobby and restaurant/bar. the rooms are old and just look dirty. the hotel was near a lot of places to eat. a lot off nice restaurants.. was farther back so there was not a lot noise from the outside..
I was most pleasantly surprises at the hotels clean look and inviting lobby area. it had been a while since I stayed at a Radisson, but I well be staying at the properties more often where ever they are located in my travels. in todays market its more difficult to find a hotel that are clean and affordable and with good staff!! This group has it all.
The staff from front desk to bar area were excellent, but carpets are old, breakfast bar was very poor with "old" cut fruit, cold ham and eggs. It was a "reward (points)" stay but at that, still not worth it.
Very welcoming (and reasonable) for anyone traveling with a pet. I was given a ground floor room with a door to the outside so that I could easily take my dog out. Staff and accommodations were top notch. Would go there again.
