I chose the hotel because the description said a breakfast was included. When we travel, we like to count on having a decent cup of coffee first thing in the morning. That didn't happen at the Quality Inn. We came down the first morning and saw that the coffee machine was broken. In it's place was a small coffee pod maker similar to what was in our room (not good coffee). I took a bagel but didn't see any butter or cream cheese. I inquired at the front desk and was told that they were out of butter, it was ordered and they'd have it in 2 days. (There was a Walmart in the next parking lot.) The microwave in the breakfast area was filthy inside--no excuse for that. On subsequent mornings it was apparent that the staff did not tidy up the breakfast area during the 3 hours slot that it was available. Cereal was spilled on the counter and used cups from the waffle maker were also on the counter. The pillows in the room were comfortable, but the mattress was worn. There was also a very strong, musty odor in the room. It didn't look like the filter in the cooling/heating unit had been cleaned. The bathroom was clean and partially remodeled. Obviously the owner/manager dropped the ball here with a timely order for breakfast items and a replacement coffee machine.

From the parking lot to the room everything- dirty. Breakfast- terrible. On the parking lot- no lights in the evening. 0 security - rear entrance all locks were removed from all doors. Was not notified that hot tub would be under repair and not available for use.

Nice breakfast and wonderful staff, very polite. But the fitness room was closed and so was the Jacuzzi. The elevator had an awful smell (?cigarette smoke), the room smelled like dirty socks, and the mattress pad had a hug burn hole from a cigarette on it and should have been replaced/discarded.

It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t nice either. It did the job for a quick, cheap stay. However, the biggest issue I had was the water that came out of the faucets had a distinct unpleasant smell that lingered. I would choose to stay somewhere else next time.

This property needs a staff and management shake-up. IThe housekeeping in the common areas is horrendous. Elevator is filthy as are the hallway carpets. The rooms have a very musty odor. We bought scented pine cones and air filters for our stay. I don't believe the owners have set the bar very high for the housekeeping staff. The breakfast is well below the offerings at most other continental breakfasts. We will never stay here again. In fact, we left one night early and didn't even ask for a refund; we were glad to leave

Overall it was a very nice place to stay, I have to suggestions one for breakfast to be longer than 9 o'clock at least until 10. And that housekeeping kind of comes the same time each day.

Hotel was in convenient location. Staff friendly. Breakfast bar excellent. Missed not having a pool.

It's rated as a 2 star, much lower in my opinion. *** Amenities: The lights between the 2 beds did not work, tried a bulb from a working lamp, no go. All electrical receptacles were worn out, giving a loose connection. The plug for my cell phone charger kept falling out of the various receptacles. Our room had some obvious electrical problems. Breakfast included eggs that appeared to be small yellow pancakes. I don't know if they were from a carton & fried on site or if they came frozen & were then heated in a microwave. In any event, they obviously were not satisfactory (very high vacuum). *** Location: On the north side of the Walmart parking lot. There is a very steep incline that you must get up to enter the hotel parking lot. It must be a real treat during the winter, it's not easy in the summer. *** Room Cleanliness is average. *** Room Comfort: The wife & I had 2 beds to choose from and ended up trying both. Neither bed was satisfactory, we both ended up with back aches in the morning.. *** Staff: The staff was polite, however, at the end of our stay, the person at the front desk could not figure out how to check us out. Apparently, the prepaid online reservation was causing problems or confusion for the staff. *** Value: For the remainder of our trip, the wife & I stayed in very nice 3 star hotels, some of the 2 stars are obviously over rated. We do not recommend this hotel. Pay the extra money for a much better experience. ***

decent sleep n shower, close to CAK airport, clean, comfortable bedding

I've stayed here five times in the past few years when I've had to make business trips to Barberton. There are lots of options in this area, but the Comfort Inn has a homey feel that has kept me coming back. Nothing fancy, but this place has everything I need while on a business trip: clean rooms, Internet access, coffee and good breakfast bar, and great location for getting to the Interstate. The staff is wonderfully welcoming and helpful.

The non-smoking rooms on the 2nd floor are much nicer than the smoking rooms on the third.

Noisy at late night

The hotel was in need of remodeling. The key cards for the room doors did not work very well. We will be staying at a different hotel on our next trip to Akron.

okay if you need somewhere cheap to stay...
