While the staff couldn't pinpoint exactly why the upgrade happened, it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. * The Villa Experience: Initially, I was concerned that staying in a villa would feel too disconnected from the main lagoon area. However, those worries disappeared the moment we arrived. Our unit was beachfront, offering incredible views and private wildlife sightings—we actually saw a ray jump and dolphins swimming by right behind our place. The villa itself was spotless and very well-maintained. * Amenities and Location: The resort’s location on Duck Key is perfect for exploring. It serves as an ideal middle ground, putting most major stops throughout the Middle and Lower Keys within a 30-minute drive. On-site, the lobby staff were incredibly welcoming, and the main resort amenities are top-notch. * Dining: The food options on-site were above average in quality. While the prices are a bit steep for what they are—as is typical for a resort—the convenience and flavor made it worth it for a few meals. * The One Downside: My only real complaint is the operating hours for the pools and hot tubs. They have a strict dusk closure policy (around 7:00 PM), which applies even to the 21 plus adult areas. Closing that early feels like a missed opportunity, as it cuts off the most relaxing and romantic part of the eve"
