Leaving a review to let Travellers know that this place deserves a better rating and reviews than what some Travellers have left. We had a great stay! The property is older and could use some upgrades but it was exactly suited for our stay. Property is right on a canal where you can see Tarpon, Manatees and other fish, if you have a boat you can dock right there. Our stay was quiet and peaceful and housekeeping took care of any needs we had. Its within walking distance of a few restaurants, dive shop, bait shop, snorkel tour. I would recommend Lido73, Mar Bar and Old Tavernier restaurants all within walking distance. Just know it not the 4 seasons just and older property that will suit your needs. I would definitely come stay again.

Outside my room was table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy watching the boat go by. Housekeeping was superb My room was spotless. There wasn’t any dust or dirt in any corner. The bathrooms were immaculate. I highly recommend this hotel. They also do not charge the resort fee that all the hotels charge in Islamorada.

Room was filthy. Went to shower and turned on the water and the bottom of the shower filled up with bubbles from someone else’s shower. I moved the lamps on the nightstands and it was like they had never been moved, literally stuck to the nightstand. There was no tv when we checked in. The staff brought one but didn’t hook it up. We hooked it up and the direct tv wouldn’t connect. Then I tried to use the WiFi on my computer and the WiFi wouldn’t connect. The pictures are a complete catfish to get you to this place. The “ice box” was a garage deep freezer that someone had put water bottles and a bottle of liquor in. Needless to say I am glad to be out of there.

the room was old and had a physical key, but not in a cute old fashioned way, they have not done updates on that place since the 90s it seems, comforter was itchy and uncomfortable. AC was either blasting us in the face, or we had to close the vent completely.

Very interesting that they leave your room key in a lock box and have a drop box for checkout. Room was clean enough but in desperate need of updates - toilet was broken and didn’t fill properly (we fixed this), shower floor not very clean, dirty floor, sticky side tables. Clean sheets though! And the saving grace was the air conditioning and awesome creek side patio.

There was a sign in the bathroom saying not to flush toilet paper down the toilet, the door was glass and was not completely covered, The fridge and the coffee maker could not be plugged in at the same time. Otherwise it was okay

Worst experience. We were given a room of the parking lot. Bedding was very stained and dirty. Windows were painted so that no one from parking lot could see in. Everything about the experience was very bad motel vibes. our family couldn't stay in that pit for a night and left. Staff didn't care at all and you can tell that the hotel survives on passing trade and not repeats.

On paper, this looks like a great deal. It is 'fine' if you have low expectations and just need a place to crash, but anyone else should stay away. I would not stay here again. While the front desk was polite and handled maintenance requests quickly, the hotel is in rough shape and lacks basic comfort. The room was noisy due to the nearby highway and boat traffic, and the thin blinds made it impossible to sleep past sunrise. Practicality was also an issue: we had to use the coffee maker on the nightstand due to a lack of outlets, and the bed was uncomfortable. The property’s condition is poor, evidenced by a bathroom shelf that collapsed into the toilet, missing weatherstripping that allowed lizards into the room, and detailed instructions on how to avoid getting locked out. Housekeeping was inconsistent, failing to replace toiletries and providing stained, worn-out towels. With intermittent internet and a general lack of accommodation from staff, this was a frustrating stay.

Very Slight water pressure and no hot water. Had to try take cool shower with trickle of water. There is construction than they said was impacting this so they shouldn’t have charged what they did for the room! Absolutely not acceptable especially for price. They should have refund a portion of room price. Of course nothing offered. Extremely basic room. Fairly clean. They tried to paint and put updated furnishings to make it appear nicer than it was. Will never stay there again!
