All good, last minute resv. near airport.

We stayed here overnight for our trip to Denali national park and the hotel is very close to airport with free airport shuttle. The hotel is clean and quiet. We stayed with family with kids and we like it.

We stayed here overnight for our trip to Denali national park and the hotel is very close to airport with free airport shuttle. The hotel is clean and quiet. We stayed with family with kids and we like it.

The hotel was pretty average. It feels like its heyday was a decade or two ago and is in need of some TLC. The property is maintained, but at a pretty basic level. Tub inserts, residential window unit ACs, standard box spring beds, well-worn hallway carpet, and squeaky flooring. For the Summer rates, I had higher expectations, to be honest. The rooms were larger than typical newer builds, though, so there was plenty of room to leave suitcases open. The most disappointing aspect was the restaurant. It had been talked up, so maybe expectations were set too high. The overall value of the experience just wasn't there. We stayed at a newly remodeled property downtown at the start of our trip and had a much better experience with similar costs.

We rented 2 rooms that connected in the middle and the kids had so much fun with that! They enjoyed the pool and we all loved the breakfast!! Of the 2 mornings we were there, one had yummy biscuits and gravy even!! However, the day we checked out, I had bed bug bites! I was the only one...oddly. I believe it was from the pillows, not the mattress. Anyway, they would not refund me for just one of the rooms...sadly. I wasn't going to post this, but I was sent an email asking for my review. Enjoy.

The staff was friendly and the breakfast very good. The facility is a bit dated and tired and I would have preferred more firm bedding, but it was comfortable enough for a 3 night stay.

Captain Cook is always classy. We had a beautiful time and a gorgeous dinner at the crows nest.
