The rooms are a little outdated but the experience was nice. We went during a busy weekend so my neighbor room was quite loud but that’s not the hotels fault, overall a good experience

Hubert and all front desk assistance were very helpful when Orbitz had messed up our plans with incorrect information on their website. The restaurants were clean (during Covid) and the food was fresh and worth the price. We'll be returning for certain.

Very nice hotel, spacious, updated. Location was kinda noisy as harleys we’re ripping past til 2am

Very clean and well maintained, hotel is somewhat dated Staff was nice, restaurant staff was overwhelmed by the crowds.

long wait at check-in. I inquired about my pre-booked room at 1100 and was told it would be 4pm! I asked again at 1pm, and was told the same. I said could I get another room, not the one originally scheduled by Orbitz and was said yes, right away! was told this room didn't have as nice a view! What's going on?

We had a room with an Inlet view. Parking can be difficult in downtown.

It was good but the pool area that says for adult lap swim only was congested with kids and nobody enforced the rules.

We liked that it was an updated historical hotel. Had many nice shops, restaurants and gym/spa facility. The food and plumbing could’ve been better, but overall it was a good experience.

One of the reasons we picked this hotel was that they have a nice pool & jacuzzi area. We have a 4 year old son & he was very excited about going swimming in the morning however the pool & jacuzzi were closed for 2 days for boiler repairs. It kind of ruined our plans.

Everything was great except the coffee maker didn’t work properly. Staff was beyond amazing.

Enjoyed our one night stay. Spacious room and friendly staff. Great location.

Hotel had organised a transfer from the airport to the hotel which didn’t turn up. Called hotel to see where it was to be rudely told they would never have organised despite having an email confirming. Arrived at check in to face the same rudeness. Travelled half way across the world for a. Silversea 6 star cruise to be met by a zero star service. Avoid hotel if you are looking for customer service.

Room we received was the right category, but no view. As a matter of fact, outside the window was the atrium roof line. It had debris and even a slipper laying on it, giving it an unkept appearance. The room was clean although very dated. Linens and bedding were fine.

Built and maintained for over 50 years as a grand, luxury hotel - a heroic achievement for a family-owned enterprise - the ‘Captain’ is showing a few slight signs of ageing - creaking/scraping elevator doors on a few floors; odd chairs without side tables or not grouped tastefully and lamps/lamp shades akimbo in certain rooms and suites; an odd practice of seating the best-dressed guests in the roof-top Crow’s Nest restaurant at the worst table in the room. These, however, are all ‘attention to detail’ refinements of staff training, normally readily corrected. These corrections, however, may be even harder in our current, tight labor market.

Nice hotel very close to downtown. Close to grocery store. We rented a car because we want to drive to Seward. I was great because we where able to go another mall. I think it was call diamond head.

Stayed one night during trip to Seward. Nice place and restaurant very nice.

Great downtown location with amazing room views and fantastic restaurants within walking distance. Do yourself a favor and have dinner at 49th State while you're here (we did - twice!)

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience. As you know early check in and room location is based on availability. The room with a view you requested wasn't available at 1pm and that's why we offered a different room thus giving you two options. Thank you for staying with us and If you have any questions please let me know. Ryan

Dear Guest, We have 2 lanes dedicated to lap swim. We'll use this as training to make sure our Athletic Club team is reminding everyone. Ryan
