Flying Out of San Francisco
The San Francisco International Airport is located near the Highway 380 and Highway 101 junction, 13 miles south of downtown San Francisco. Ten airlines offer flights from San Francisco to Frankfurt, including Delta Airlines, Air France, American Airlines and United Airlines.
If you need to leave your car at the airport while you travel, the airport has two long-term parking options for international travelers. International garages A & G offer long-term parking for $28 per day. The long-term garage offers parking for $18 per day. Bay Area Rapid Transit, known as BART, runs from downtown San Francisco to the SFO BART Station in the International Terminal. You can take BART to the airport for between $7 and $8.50, depending on what part of San Francisco you're coming from. You can also take a taxicab to the airport for approximately $37.
If you want to grab a bite to eat before your flight, the airport has numerous dining options located in the International Terminal. Buses stop outside of both terminals at 10-minute intervals. Taxicabs are also available outside of the terminals 24 hours per day.
