Benito Juárez International Airport is less than 15 minutes away from the center of Mexico City, just off of Puerto Aéreo Boulevard. Some of the airlines flying out of this airport include AeroMexico, American and Delta. For a quick bite to eat at the airport, head to 7 Eleven, Burger King, Carl's Jr. or any of the other sit-down or quick service restaurants. To get to the airport, you can take a bus, hire a taxi or drive your own car. Taking the bus is the simplest and least expensive option, costing between 158 and 407 pesos, depending on the distance. Taxi prices vary greatly by company and distance. If you want to drive your own car to the airport, parking in the international terminal costs 60 pesos per hour, up to 300 pesos for the first day, and 99 pesos for each subsequent day.

When you come to Los Angeles, you'll arrive at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The airport is located at 1 World Way, which is about 25 minutes from the city center. LAX has plenty of amenities for passengers, including cocktail lounges and duty-free shops. To get from the airport to your final destination, you can take the Metro, hire a taxi or rent a car.

Renting a car will give you the most freedom on your vacation, but it will cost at least $30 a day. The Metro is convenient and inexpensive, costing around $1.50 per trip, so this is probably your best bet. Taxis are the most expensive form of transportation in Los Angeles, and fares vary depending on the distance.

The weather in Los Angeles generally stays even throughout the year, with average temperatures ranging from 47 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Winter is the rainy season, so bring an umbrella if you visit during this time.
