I hate to give bad reviews, but there are time when it becomes necessary. I found the staff inattentive, my room reeked of stale cigarette smoke (in spite of numerous notices saying it was a non-smoking establishment), and the "free" breakfast inedible (the imitation scrambled eggs cooked to dry crumbs). In addition, in our bathroom I found the shower fixture loose on the wall and an incorrectly installed electric outlet (a large gap between the wall and the fixture). The establishment was tired and warn out. I will not be visiting them again.

Chatham Tides is a beautiful hotel located in front of the ocean. The rooms are near each other, so inevitably you will see your neighbors, sometimes from your bed. If you close the windows for privacy, then you’ll lose your ocean view. It was a bit awkward. We used the bikes that are provided for the guests. That was an adventure. Bring plenty of water, and don’t wear light pants. You will regret it because the seat stains. Even though it was fun, at one point we were envious of people on the electric bikes.
