There was parking which was nice. But on a weekday, with no view, on the lowest guest floor, i cannot justify the price. I guess we paid for the location. The hotel is walking distance to Chinatown and the Yamashita Park. For the room itself, I did not mind the was no view, but the toilet.. i had to clean it myself because i use it because there were pee stains. And the shower curtain smelled, which enters the room when the bathroom door is kept open. I don’t expect much from older hotels, but i think cleanliness is a must. I guess I’m just disappointed because I expected a lot from the brand.

Everything was Clean and enjoyable. Towels and facecloths were not as thick as other hotels we stayed at. We couldn’t decipher how to use the a/c so the room was very stuffy and we couldn’t ope. The windows.

JAL City Kannai is a nice hotel with a very good breakfast. Premium location close to Yamashita park, China Town, baseball stadium, train station, bus routes, shopping street. Bad: hard bed and pillow, slightly showing its age, but overall quite good.

The floor in the bathroom was terribly dirty, because of which the general manager has agreed to change the room however the floor remained dirty, too. He explained that it was due to old hotel built in 20 years ago and the owner looks not keen to refurbish the facility and equipmemt. Other than that I was quite happy with the manager's follow-up treatment and services. His name is Mr.Miyagawa.

Pillows and mattress were definitely not Western friendly. The mattress was flat and like a rock. The pillows were like pizza boxes. We had to ask for additional pillows which came as equally uncomfortable buckwheat filled pillows.

The price was real good. The only thing I have problem with the room is too small. Hardly walk with 2 person and luggagea in room.. also need luggage racks for the luggages.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights before taking a cruise. For us, the best thing about this hotel was how close it was to both the Nihon-Odori train station and the Osanbashi cruise terminal. It was also located on a side street, so there was no traffic noise. Would happily stay there again.
