The staff was helpful and kind, even asking if we needed help with our luggage. The room was very clean and spacious. We were very comfortable. Breakfast was a lot of variety, and tasted good. We found out you are a pet friendly motel, so on our next trip, we can bring our dog! A big plus!!!

As soon as I walked in the room there was a big bug on the back of the door that i squished. I had it in my head it looked like a roach. I was on high alert after that but I didn't see any more so that was good. The next morning after breakfast I was going to take a shower before I left and there was no way to make the water come out of the shower head???? I tried everything and never saw spigot like that. So no shower because I wasn't about to take a bath. Not a great experience.

The room was clean and stocked as advertised. I did like the small fridge and microwave. They served breakfast from 6-10 but we didn't try it. The owner did provided us with a list of places to eat in town. The town and bridges were a nice getaway!

The bathtub appeared to have a shower but there was not a way to turn the shower head on!!! THERE WAS NO SHOWER CONTROL!! Also, there was no way to take a bath because the drain did not have a stopper. I would not recommend this hotel because of that.

Our stay there was fine. The hotel is quiet and the rooms are good. There was an easy chair and an office chair and a fridge and microwave. The staff was polite and helped us with an extra blanket and pillow. Beautiful view out our window of the surrounding countryside. Convenient place to stay during the Covered Bridge Festival in Winterset.
