I booked a pet friendly room and was charged extra for this room. When I checked out, they charged me more fees for cleaning a pet room. I expected the higher rate room to cover those extra "fees". I had a small dog that doesn't shed that didn't make any mess in the room and had to pay extra for the room plus extra cleaning fee for them to clean nothing. I don't like extra fees at time of checkout and prefer to have all expenses included in the room. There was a group of men standing outside the window drinking and bein noisy.

The hotel is clean and has all the necessary amenities. The surrounding area is a little chaotic with lots of trucks parking which is normal considering the hotel sits next to the interstate.

The check in person was not very friendly, because of his accent, he was very, very hard to understand. The property is too dark, the hallway is so dark, you can hardly see. The light over the sink is so dark, I can’t even use it to apply make-up. The room is very dark, one of the lightbulbs didn’t work. I would not stay here again. We will see how the breakfast is in the morning, but I don’t have high hopes.

There was mold growing on the bed skirt, clutter on the surfaces and plug in strips. Lobby nice but rooms need some updates and cleaning. I am not picky but a clean room is a must.

Nice room, but damp

The room was clean and beds were acceptable. The room had a very damp feel to it. The rug was very nice, but it felt damp as did the bathroom floor. It was good overall but just felt like it needed to be dried out.

Overpriced. The pool was closed. Happens … but then, tell customers before booking and give an appropriate discount. Don’t just shrug your shoulders. TV reception was blurry or non-functional. The breakfast was decent: I had worse, I had better. At the price per night, I definitely expected better overall.

Little Midwest

We enjoyed this place. We would go back again to see covered bridges. The John Wayne Museum is really cool. There is a cute downtown and Ruby's is a good place to eat.
