Lovely B & B within easy walking distance of restaurants and conveniently located near downtown Winston Salem. The room (Ludlow Suite) is spacious and has a nice outside space. The Continental breakfast was disappointing but the full breakfast at another building was nice. Unfortunately you had to drive there. I think a little more effort at check-in to go over the house rules and available amenities would have been helpful.

Our room was clean with a historic feel but with modern amenities. The air conditioner worked well. The room was quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast. We only stayed overnight and did not have time to enjoy the patio between the 2 houses. That area looked really peaceful. We will definitely come back when in the area again.

Charming Retreat in the Heart of West End

Summit Inns Bed and Breakfast was the perfect retreat! The property has such a unique charm, with beautifully decorated rooms that each have their own story and character. You can really feel the history in the space, which adds to the peaceful and inspiring atmosphere. The location is another huge plus—tucked right into the heart of the West End, it’s within easy walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and historic spots. I’d absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for a restful stay with personality and a sense of place.

So much bang for your buck!

If I could give this place six stars I definitely would! When you consider the price point this place can’t be beat. With the complimentary premium wine offered at check-in to the free parking right outside the inn to the gorgeously decorated antique period pieces of furnishings and finally the wonderful free full breakfast served at their sister inn, it was absolutely amazing! We were so impressed that we booked another stay in two weeks.

As a woman traveling solo on business, I felt very safe staying in Winston-Salem at this B&B. The Alspaugh King Room is gorgeous. It is thoughtfully appointed and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is just incredible, with a claw-foot tub and a large shower. They even gave me complimentary wine and pretzels at check-in. Three restaurants were just a short walk away, too. I loved every minute of staying here - it was incredibly relaxing after a long day of travel.
