About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

The Sherman House with Air Conditioning in historic downtown Williams, AZ.

The Sherman Home is located right in downtown Williams, AZ, within a few minutes walking distance of historic RT 66 and the Grand Canyon Railway station. Williams, AZ is the Gateway to the Grand Canyon, located on Interstate 40 and just 30 minutes drive to the City of Flagstaff. The Grand Canyon Railroad, also called the Polar Express at Christmas time, is walking distance, 3 blocks away from this wonderful home. This is a perfect location to explore the Grand Canyon , Historic RT66, Bearizona, the Deer Farm, downtown Williams, Bill William's Mountain, and miles of roads, hiking and biking trails in the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine Forest in the world, Coconino National Forest. Go online and check out all the area attractions and RT66 historical shops located nearby.

The Sherman House was built in 1954, has been completely remodeled while maintaining that feeling and appeal of the old history of Williams. This home is built with your family in mind inside and out. Plenty of area for everyone to enjoy, including a larger spectacular wrap around deck overlooking a flag stone patio centered in the middle of the fenced yard surrounded by trees. Have a cook -out on the gas grill or just relax in the patio chairs and take in the clean fresh air.

The downstairs features a large living room with a big screen TV, WiFi, a sitting area, a master bedroom suite, and a second bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. For cold winter nights, there is a large wood-burning stove in addition to central heat throughout the entire home. the downstairs living area also has a TV with DVD player and DirecTV.

The kitchen features solid surface counter tops, large pantry, large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig, toaster, plates, dishes, you name it to meet your needs. Upstairs has 2 more bedrooms and a wonderful loft with a sectional, smart TV, and WiFi for the kids. One bedroom upstairs is a suite with an attached bathroom while the other bedroom has a balcony with wonderful views of trees, the surrounding town, and those amazing sunsets Arizona is known for. The home has central Air Conditioning which is a rare find in this area. Oh.. and did we mention the tankless water heater supplying unlimited amounts of hot water?

There is great winter access to the home on paved road maintained by the City of Williams. We have snow service provided for you during the winter months for getting in and out of the driveway.

This home is on City Water and City Sewer. That is a huge plus in this area because many homes outside the city limits have a limited water supply due to the fact that they have haul water to the house.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a fenced private yard.

Williams AZ trip

I suggested to Judy (property manager) that grab bars be put in the shower areas, that was missing and also floor mats for the showers. A slip and fall vacation would not work well.

Gathering of friends and Grand Canyon Railway

We've been friends since high school. 50 years. We now live apart and this was a great meeting place for us. We were able to have our own rooms and a great kitchen to cook meals. The dining room table was large enough to accommodate us for meals, games, and a jigsaw puzzle.

Odd Floorplan

Ten minute walk to central Williams makes this a good place to stay. This property has clearly been remodeled several times. There are lots of beds in weirdly linked rooms.

Enjoyable Stay

Cute-older home. Really enjoyed our stay. Short walking distance to downtown. One small note if going in the winter, with snow/ice on the road, you have to drive uphill to get to the house.

Family Time

The house is in the perfect location. You can walk to downtown, drive to Bearazona, etc. The house itself was perfect for our families. The upstairs is ideal for a family, kids can have one room and the parents in another, while there is still 2 rooms downstairs. It was nice to have the kids separated for an earlier bedtime. Just the property manager was great to work with.

Worked for our Family Reunion

This property filled our need to have several adults share accommodations for a family reunion held at the Williams KOA campground. It was within walking distance to downtown, and a few minutes ride to the gathering. Having three bathrooms as well as several private bedrooms, two living room areas plus a large kitchen table made our stay enjoyable.

Perfect location for Grand Canyon fun

Williams is a great little Western town with cute shops and fun restaurants. We took the grandkids on the train to the Grand Canyon and they loved it! The next day we drove back up for more fun. The Deer Farm and Mountain Coaster were other fun escapades. Great host! Very responsive. Plenty of room for the 7 of us with beds to spare! We would definitely go back.
