Door didn't lock.

The condition of the property was as described in the listing. Good location within walking distance of downtown. I would have rated it higher, but we could not get the electronic door lock to work from the outside. I contacted the management company for help, but they did not help. So, we packed everything back in our car when we left for dinner because we didn't want to leave it all in the unlocked room while we were gone. At least there was a deadbolt lock that worked from the inside so we felt safe staying there.

Good for the Price!

The room was as described. The outside needs to be updated. When we arrived, we couldn't park in front due to the parking lot was being redone. It would have been nice if we where told that so we didn't get asphalt on our shoes. The stay was good, location was close to town so we walked. Only complaint was the parking lot, the door going into our room would stick or you had to slam it to shut it, and the other guests door apparently did the same thing. Every time they entered/exited it was very loud that it shook our windows in our room.

Responsive owners, clean place.

I love the transparency of the owners and what they are trying to accomplish with this little motel. It's a dream idea, and in a great town for all that Western Michigan has to offer. This place is a clean room with a great bed and a nice BIG TV with Netflix (and other apps). It has wifi. All this said, you won't want to be here long. It's just a place to sleep while you explore, perfect for what we have planned. Overall, I would go back. We did worry about the outside window (the one in the pic) not locking. It is for the back of the building, which does not have a fence. I did report this to the owner through their own review system.

Quiet, Clean & Comfortable

We had a very positive stay, very clean space, lots of amenities and close restaurants. The bed was more comfortable than the one at home! Would absolutely return.

First impression, not good, but I was warned by other reviewers, so that was ok!

The property manager was very helpful, he happened to be there when we were. The rooms were really cute, fresh, clean. Beds were a nice comfortable memory foam mattress. The no air conditioning killed us a bit. Our stay had 90 degree days and 80 degree nights. One fan was provided. No coffee maker, no conditioner. There was a hair dryer, mini fridge, microwave. Close walking proximity to restaurants and shopping. You will have to drive to any beach though. Overall, the price was right, location was fine!
