Not as expected
I understand the property is undergoing remodel, however I expected better quality. The inside was remodeled, however the materials used were VERY cheap quality. The paint wasn't done well, bed made a ton of noise just simply laying down on it, headboard was broken, lamp was not working, only one bath towel was provided instead of two, and the cleanliness could use a lot more attention. The entry door was loud and was sticking as well as the bathroom door. Just overall not well done and not what I was expecting. One thing that can be fixed immediately.....DO NOT use decorator pillows on the beds. They cannot possibly be washed every stay and everyone knows those pillows usually end up on the floor. It was pretty gross to discover 3 on the bed when we arrived.

Glad our expectations were low
Comfortable bed, adequate air conditioning and response from owner after 2nd contact are the only positives.
Door would not lock from the outside. Thankfully we were able to push the door enough from the inside to secure it overnight.
One bedside lamp did not work. Room is very dark. The headboard was broken.
The windows were very dirty.
The entry and bathroom doors were very dirty🤢.
Ants in bathroom-probably in bedroom also but too dark to see.
Along with a power outage 10 minutes after entering the room and 45 minutes or more of following the procedures to report it-there were instructions in the welcome book, but process was ridiculous and difficult to do in the dark-our stay was memorial for all the wrong reasons!

Pretty good
As the outside is kind of unappealing the insides actually very nice as I didn’t have any problems cleaning wise. Very nice price considering how close it is to Michigan’s adventure.

Windows stuck, no AC, spiders
The location is great, check in was easy. Linens were clean. BUT... There were spiders in almost every corner. There was no AC, which is fully disclosed, but the windows were full of spider webs and did not open or lock due to structural problems/foundation. The room was provided with a fan, but no way to bring in cool air through the windows. Property management needs to replace the windows so they open, lock, and have screens so the room can be cooled AND the room can be secured. Also, management should clean out spiders before a paying customer arrives.

Surface remodeling was complete but many updates should have been done
Since there is no air conditioning I feel it very important to have windows that open and close completely. A pedestal fan would have be another great choice. There were stains on the bedspread and many remodeling mishaps. Like bad paint, lack of enough outlets, and lack of furniture to set you luggage on. Has potential but a lot is yet to be done. I also had trouble with the August key system. However, a few hours before we arrived while I was driving, they finally responded and helped me fix it.
