Where to start? What an amazing facility and location! The location was wonderful, we went in the off season, before most of the businesses had reopened for the tourist season. That being said, there were plenty of businesses and restaurants nearby that were open. Whitehall/Montague is a beautiful small town which was smack-dab in the center of all of the cities we wanted to visit (Muskegon, Ludington, Grand Haven, South Haven, and Holland). On arrival, the front desk clerk (Cindy) was amazing. She was warm and welcoming, and started a conversation about our vacation. She was a massive help in refining the details of our stay, which towns had what attractions that weren't terribly well known, which restaurants to visit, and other things nearby. Throughout our 4 night, 5 day stay, whenever she saw us she was so hospitable. Great staff! Our room was wonderful. We were on the second floor in a "City-View" room. It was beautiful, and looked newly refurnished. There was a fireplace, two person whirlpool, a small sofa/pull out bed, and a small glass table with two decorative chairs. We also had a microwave, small coffeemaker and mini fridge. Everything was clean, fresh, and comfortable and the room just perfect, with a nice view of the town. The continental breakfast was just right, in our opinions. Waffle maker, danishes, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, oatmeal, and boiled eggs. No bacon, sausage, or fried eggs but I thought that they were unnecessary. A cute setup in the lobby, an extremely economical use of space. Just charming. Honestly, I felt as if I underpaid for such a marvelous facility. Because our trip was in the off-season the rates were the same as any old Holiday Inn, which I felt truly did not captivate the value of this hotel. The facility and layout of a big chain, but the love and thought of a Bed and Breakfast. If you are taking any trip to the west side of the state, please visit this hotel, it is well worth it!

We had room 107! it was quiet, great view, and a nice room. The pictures on the web sight are very accurate. I liked the yellow outside lights that turned on automatically at dusk. We stayed in mid September. nice weather!.

We celebrated our anniversary at the Weathervane and it was wonderful. We had a cozy room overlooking the lake with a deck. Our room had a fireplace, a jacuzzi tube and a large dual shower. We also had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in our room. Breakfast is included and they had a nice variety including Belgian waffles. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And if that isn't enough they serve fresh hot chocolate chip cookies every night! We loved it!

We stayed for a weekend to attend a wedding nearby. I probably chose the wrong room, thinking the room would be adequate for my husband and me, and potentially my son and girlfriend. However, upon checking in, the queen bed was not large enough for us and the room's only window looked upon the roof, no scenery or greenery. Had I known beforehand, I would have opted for a different level of accommodation. This inn does serve breakfast, but if you are facing the hallway, it could be noisy in the morning as the serving and eating area is right outside the guestroom doors. We awoke to children crying and talking in the hallway downstairs from the breakfast area. Still, the staff is very nice and gracious: my husband accidentally left his car keys in the room dresser drawer and we received a call from the Weathervane staff to inquire whether they were our keys and whether they could send them back to our home. This was very generous and I appreciated the service and attention. If I ever return to Montague, I would definitely stay again but would choose a different accommodation with a king bed and a better window view.

Great location - right on the water next to the marina. Sit in the balcony and enjoy the sunsets. Great rooms with Jacuzzi and fire place. Very pet-friendly. We loved our stay and wish we had stayed longer.

We chose Weathervane Inn, just by looking on line, to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We were not disappointed! Friendly and helpful front desk, very clean and spacious room, and the town and views were fantastic.

Large room, free breakfast and beautiful surroundings make Weathervane a comfy place to stay. The town close by is small but charming and the sunsets overlooking the lake in front of this Inn are breathtaking.

We had a room reserved here for my husbands 63rd bday, online the place looked amazing, price was not cheap but it did say waterfront with a balcony so i reserved it. When we got to Montague we found this pkace. The waterfront was a small moss covered corner of lake, the pkace was in dire need of cleaning, both inside and out. I canceled the reservation upon seeing the inside. Dont be mislead on this place, go someplace else!

The Rooms at the Weathervane Inn are very nice and spacious. Ours had a view of the waterfront. The common areas were more like a chain hotel. The breakfast selection was pathetic. However, I would definitely return since the rooms were so nice.

We spent two nights here on the Thursday and Friday before the 4th of July weekend. We got a corner lake view room and it was an amazing view and very comfortable. It came with a Jacuzzi hot tub, one queen size bed and a pull out couch. The Jacuzzi hot tub overlooks the water and then there is a regular shower in the bathroom area. This room came with a free continental breakfast each morning which included muffins, bagels, hard boiled eggs, cereal and a waffle maker. So the Breakfast wasn't great but it served it's purpose. There was also coffee, orange juice, tea and milk. This was a pet friendly hotel which was very convenient and they only charged $20 extra per day. The rooms were quiet in the beds were comfortable but one complaint I do have is that the door to the room was very hard to open I don't know if it was broken or why it wasn't operational all the time
