The location is excellent and the view from this property is stunning! Literally walk out your front door and down the steps to the main road lining Varenna. Very walkable! We knew the age of the house based on pictures and description, which is why it was charming and felt “old Italy,” but age did show with some things, like the upstairs bathroom. That being said, we did thoroughly enjoy our stay and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The entrance to the property and parking weee a bit confusing but we got it figured out quickly with assistance. It is noteworthy that there were around 60 steps to get up to the house. We were thankful that we were able bodied and did not have extremely heavy luggage, otherwise this could have been difficult. Perhaps we missed this in the description, but didn’t recall reading it or seeing photos. Overall, we would recommend and would stay here again.
