About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

The Lost Tinyhouse

This premium tinyhouse has full size comforts and a beautiful setting on our 70 acre farm. Get back to nature without giving up hot showers and A/C. The perfect place to unplug (though TV and WiFi are available), cook out and relax by the fire in the evenings. A combination of a rustic natural setting and some well-earned comforts.

This tinyhouse has a large loft, a smaller loft and a sofa bed.The lofts are reached by ladders and a kind of stairs. Care needs to be taken not to fall and children require supervision of course! You have full facilities here -- everything you need and nothing you don't. There's a firepit, an outdoor dining table and some Adirondack chairs. If the weather goes south, there is a small record selection or you can bring your own vinyl. We have three other dwellings on the property, each quite private on this sprawling farm.

There is a cabin for larger families and a true in-the-woods experience, the Estate House for groups up to 16 who want a full size home, and the Oculus tinyhouse for couples! The tinyhouse is all yours and there is a flat grassy area with a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, outdoor table, and a charcoal grill is also available. You're nestled in the woods at the edge of a small pond It's one of only four inhabited locations on a 70 acre farm that you're free to walk and explore.

Please don't go out on the iced over ponds in winter -- that's dangerous! We will mostly interact over messenger or phone, but someone is usually near by to come and manage any issues quickly. We are just five minutes from renowned Oglebay Park with its golf courses, biking trails, spa, zoo and other amenities. The City of Wheeling is a 10 minute drive with restaurants shopping, brewpubs and more.

There are trails, streams and ponds on the property and we are pet friendly! Cooking essentials are provided along with linens and towels of course. Pack n' play available on request but it's tight in there to set that up!

4WD or AWD necessary in the snow to drive to the tiny, (or you could hike there, about 400 feet down a gravel drive. Note there is a queen bed in the loft and a futon downstairs but the futon is really only suitable for a smaller person or little kids. It is a tinyhouse!Note: as of 11/28/21 the Tiny has moved to a more secluded and natural location - it is downhill and AWD or 4WD vehicles are needed in the event of significant snow! Make sure you check the photos.

The cottage is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and space to spread out with a separate bedroom.

Great tiny cabin experience, thanks! The only thing I was unsure of from the listing was if there was a coffeemaker and what type. We brought our own, just in case, but there was both a K-cup and french press available!

This is absolutely the perfect couples get away. Grab your significant other and the dogs and get away. Wonderful beautiful property, a beautiful pond with a fountain and hearing the crickets chirp. And to add is you really are in the middle of no where but 20 minutes up the road is a town filled with places to eat and shop. We will absolutely be back and I simply can’t wait!!
This sign will always be a reminder of where we stayed after my now fiance proposed💕

We loved our stay! The cottage was adorable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Not only dishes and clean linens, but also extra blankets, plenty of reading material, a record player and albums, a deck of cards, matches and a starter pack of wood for the fire pit (we didn't use it, but it was nice to have if we wanted to), and my daughter LOVED hanging out in the hammock outside. :) They even had pet dishes in case we had forgotten to bring ours. If we had been able, we would have extended our stay. As it is, we plan to return to the same cabin this summer for another visit! The host even stopped by to drop off an organic spray to help ward off stink bugs just in case. She was lovely and I could easily see she had put so much care and thought into making sure guests were comfortable and happy.
