The rooms were small, as expected of Tokyo hotel rooms and there wasn’t a space to eat so we often ate in the lobby. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal though, I’ve never felt cleaner!

Our stay here was kind of average. I was a bit disappointed as the property had really good reviews from what I had seen. The staff are lovely and helpful however the rooms are small (even by Tokyo standards) we are used to small rooms however usually small rooms have a clever space to put your bags and have ample hooks for towels and clothes and little cubby holes for other things. This place didn’t even Joe a towel rack or hook in the bathroom. There was just no where to store anything. Also the bedding had stains on it when we checked in and the bed wasn’t made well so all the sheets untucked the second you got into it. The area is great, lots to do, great connection to Shinjuku station ect. It’s just a shame the design of the room isn’t great and the cleanliness wasn’t good.

Fantastic Stay

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Amanek Shinjuku-Kabukicho, and we must say it exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, being close to the station and surrounded by a plethora of restaurants and convenience stores. This made exploring the vibrant area of Shinjuku a breeze.

Central location in shinjuku. Rooms are very small - we had a large suitcase each in a king room and it was unmanago. No cleaning service in rooms for stays less that 4 nights. Breakfast and water refill down in the basement.

This is a clean hotel in the heart of the red light district. Amazing location for getting around Tokyo and walkable to two of our favorite attractions Shinjuku golden-gai (small bars) and Omoide Yokocho (stall restaurants).

Great Base

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Although the room was small, it had everything we needed. It offers great value for money and is an excellent base for exploring Tokyo. At first, we were hesitant to book this hotel due to Kabukicho’s reputation, but we were pleasantly surprised—it was located on a quiet street, and we didn’t experience any craziness. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of Shinjuku Station (metro, buses, and JR lines), making it easy to get around Tokyo and beyond. The breakfast was good, with a great variety of options. The staff were accommodating and always ready to help, adding to the overall positive experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located stay in Tokyo.

This hotel seems to be close to everything cool. And the things that are further away are easy to access through the subway system, which has entrances all around (each about 5-10 mins walk away).

Overall my stay was good. The room was smaller than what was shown in the Expedia photo and seemed to be the wrong layout from what I selected. Upon arrival to the room, I did have to clean up a lot of hair that was left on the bathroom floor.
