It has a great location, but I had a double room. When I said I was staying alone I received a room with only 1 towel - even the APA hotel gives you 2! The APA hotel down the street is usually about 50-70% of the price.
The location couldn't be better for this hotel. There are 2 different subway stops within walking distance. We loved the cozy rooms, but needed to get 2 for a family of 4. There are some great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel as well. We stayed here twice on our trip. A few days on the start of our trip, and again the last night. We would stay again on a return trip.
I have now stayed here on 5 trips to Tokyo. The rooms are small but have everything you need, the hotel is conveniently located opposite Midtown, with multiple entrances to the Metro. The breakfast is good, but there is multiple places to get breakfast nearby if you are not a fan including Starbucks and various other stores in the Midtown complex. A majority of the reception staff do seem to have limited English so this can be a challenge if you have an issue.
Hotel looks brand new, very well positioned from Roppongi metro station. My room was clean and well appointed. It had a bed (very good quality), massage chair, working desk and working chair (not so convenient). Room also has a kettle to warm water for tea. Tea bags available at reception to pick up for free. A mini refrigerator is also available in the room. Bathroom was absolutely clean with very good shower force. All necessary toiletries available in the bathroom including hair dryer. They use dispensers for hand wash, body soap, shampoo and conditioner which is environment friendly. My room had a glass window (can't open) with a good view and lot of sunshine. Air condition worked well as well. Location is absolutely brilliant. You can move around easily with metro and bus. I had to travel to Shibuya each day for which bus was way more convenient than metro. Good frequency of the buses as well as metro. Lot of restaurants and pubs around in the vicinity. Just ignore some touts outside hotel that may approach you for some nightlife offers (stay away - they only intend to rob you) if you are a foreigner. These touts are not aggressive and won't harm you as long you ignore them. Reception staff did my check in very efficiently and so was check out. Front desk people during the day time speak average to good English. Evening/night staff's English is highly limited to average. While this hotel is a brilliant one, I deduct one star for just two reasons: 1. Breakfast while big and a wide spread but totally let down. You could have a small but brilliant breakfast in some hotels. Here they are wasting their resources by not being enough thoughtful. No fresh eggs to order or no fancy stuff like Onigiri or fresh noodles possibilities which is normal in many other hotels. This hotel has a great potential to make their breakfast far better with the available space and resources they have at their disposal. 2. This being a business hotel I had expected a good WiFi connection. But WiFi tend to be average to poor that makes working difficult at times. In any case work desk and chair are not comfortable to work. Having said that I would definitely recommend this hotel to the business travelers and hope that the hotel management can do something about the breakfast as well as WiFi.
The customer service at the front desk, especially the night manager was the worst experience ever. I did not expect this. I am very disappointed. And then the front desk person told me that I didn’t pay them any service fees so I was wrong for being upset at them.
This is a fairly new and very conveniently located hotel opposite Mid-town Tokyo. The rooms are typical of Japanese business hotel -- fairly small but quite well organised. The room would have been better if they didn't put in a massage chair in every room as it takes up precious space and it is not very comfortable to seat on. However, the service is great, the hotel's design is very modern and the breakfast is very good (if you like Japanese-style breakfast, that is) in a nice restaurant. It is, as with most parts of Tokyo, conveniently located, near shops, eateries and right opposite the subway station (which is not typical though and, as such, a real perk!).
Spent three nights here. Small room as expected. Clean and tidy. Nice breakfast and good location in Roppongi. A good starting point for business as well as pleasure in Roppongi. Very close to Mori tower.
Convenient location to bars and clubs in Ropponggi. Not many supermarkets or pharmacies to buy Japanese snacks or cosmetics however. Staff was friendly and prompt. Room was small but clean. Water was hidden in the fridge. Would prefer if it stay out for easy reach. It was raining during our stay but there were not enough umbrellas for the guests.
I know rooms in Tokyo are quite small but the room of Remm Ropponggi was really super small. Maybe the floor layout was not good too that’s why it really felt so frustrating instead of relaxing. The only plus would be the very small massage chair fit for a kid but still useable as im a bit short. When you half open your luggage on the tiny hallway you have to jump back and forth to fix the luggage from one end to the other bec there isn’t any floor space left to go around the luggage. Food in the restaurant is good though and of course location is very good. But not worth to trade with basic room comfort.
I’ve stayed here at Remm Roppongi over 5 times cause of my schedule to visit Tokyo and I just purely like it here. The location is very convenient and most of all, the staff is super helpful and friendly. You can see that they go out of their ways to find the best solutions for you. The breakfast place is a bit dull but nice enough with reasonable price. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re a first timer in Tokyo, but if you know your way around and are looking for a place to stay with reasonable rate and great service, I would highly recommend Remm Roppongi.
