The Happy House - 5 bedrooms! Right downtown.
Old fashioned, unpretentious - only 1 block from downtown - restaurants, shops and Avon Theatre. Not fancy but pretty great. Compact. Good light. Homey. Garden with a picnic table. Good for couples or families (with kids). Well mannered pets are fine. Driveway holds 4 cars in a row.
For those with limited mobility, there is a large bedroom and a 3 pc bathroom on the main floor - only one step up to deck and one into house if you go through the back.
Partially fenced in yard. Washer \ Dryer on main floor.
Check in time is 3:00 but if we are ready for you, earlier is sometimes possible. A
The front door code given a few days before check in. There are keys for the kitchen door hanging next to the kitchen sink. The wifi codes are written on a chalkboard in the kitchen.
You can let me know if there is anything you need.
In a leafy old neighbourhood two blocks from Market Square and the centre of town.
You can walk to pretty much everything. Though to the Festival would take about 40 minutes. Avon 12 minutes. Tom Paterson 25 minutes. Revel Cafe is 10 minutes away - all their baking is done on site with the best and local ingredients. They have a deck out back and around 9:00 a few musicians sometimes hang out and play. Soup Surreal for take out.
Dyson A\C plus ceiling fan provided in the bedroom room that does not get direct A\C from the main system
If you are bringing bikes, they can be locked in the back yard.

Exceeded Expectations
From the outside the house looks pretty humble. The inside was surprisingly clean, interesting decor and very comfortable. It's great place to stay!We would definitely come back if our family returns to Stratford.Small issues: outside electrical plug didn't work, the thermostat was set to change the air conditioning overnight so we had to get up and restart it, and we couldn't find a sink plug for the downstairs bathroom sink.All pretty minor complaint. We really liked this house!

Our group of seven was delighted by location and the house itself. It's rare to find a VRBO that has a fully outfitted kitchen, areas where the whole group can gather plus space for small groups to gather. And access to the outdoors. We rate it 10 out of five!Ottawa Bardolaters

Stratford Happy House
2nd time we've stayed here. The house works extremely well for our family theater vacations in Stratford. Great location. We had a few minor issues with loose doorknobs, a burner that did not work and a remote that needed new batteries. The owner and rental agent were very communicative and I know they have updated some parts of the house from when we were last there in 2022. I assume the minor bumps we encountered will also be taken care of. If you want to be in a house and walk to almost all locations in Stratford this is a great choice.

Happy House was ok. Needs alot of upgrades to the furniture as we didn’t find it comfortable. The windows have never been cleaned so looking out the backyard was not a clear picture. We put a security deposit down and it’s been two weeks almost and has not been reimbursed. Nothing was damaged so not sure why it’s taking so long to get reimbursed. For this reason I would never book again.
