Upon arrival to the island we were warned by the locals of the property owner. We were also informed she removes any negative reviews. Once we arrived at the house it was clean with the most gorgeous view and thats where the positives end. The house is over ran with roaches which I brushed off as we are on an island. The listing is inaccurate due to the fact that while yes there is a back up generater the owner let the propane run out and we spent most of our time without electricity or water, thats right if you dont have electricity you dont have water on the island. All of the food in the fridge got ruined leaving us without food as well. 2 of our travelers have special dietary needs. With multiple attempts to contact owner and get a resolution she simply brushed us off and did nothing to provide us with the amenities listed. She lied to us multiple times saying there was nothing she could do and the propane would need to be brought in on a barge. After we left the island we witnessed her repair man brining the propane tank back on a dingy. It is incredibly sad that a home owner would allow her 7 renters to go without basic necessities.
