American Patriot

The Huckleberry Cabin was very cozy and nicely decorated. It was rustic and true to its original build in the 1800’s with modern upgrades. Walking through the front door was like stepping back in time. Great place to stay to get off the grid and reconnect with nature or unplug from the computer, but also close enough to town if you need supplies.

Amazing

A beautiful, rustic, charmer .... very cozy ... conveniently located to all activities, yet feels completely remote and serene ... the PERFECT get away cabin, nestled in quiet surroundings, pastoral views and short drive to any destination. Highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Little Cabin on Huckleberry

The cabin is a wonderful step back in time with up to date conveniences……I especially liked the kitchen faucet. It was clean and we had everything we needed. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The deer, the chipmunks, the birds….. a truly wonderful place.

Wanted to get away for my wifes birthday. This was a perfect set up for just that.The only noise you hear is nature. The towns of Marion and Wytheville are small but provide small town charm. If your brave enough, take a trip to the Big Walker Lookout enough try the

Cozy Mountain Side Cabin

A very cozy rustic cabin nestled on a mountain side. The experience of staying in a rustic cabin in such a remote location was refreshing and a welcomed change of pace. Even though the cabin itself is located on a mountain side down winding roads you are only 15 minutes away from Main Street. Cute town with everything you need. I highly recommended you stop by 1776 Log House Restaurant. I guarantee you have never experienced anything like it. Loved here and will stay again if we find ourselves in the area.

Beautiful hiking

Nice area. There is a large power company light just outside the property and the neighbor is clearing the property next door (chainsaw sounds all day). Other than that it is peaceful and quiet at night. The left oven did not close all the way. Porch was peaceful and there is amazing hiking in the area. The decor was cute, cabin was clean and the host was responsive to questions. Would have been very nice to have firewood available if needed (it is 100 charge) but it was summer and I didn’t really want/need a fire.

Peaceful cabin

Our stay on Huckleberry was everything I expected. We seen everything during our stay wild turkeys, and 12 little babies and an abundance of baby deers with their mamas my fiancé even saw a bear with its cub, While, we were out on one of our days in a swimming hole nearby! The complementary coffee and sugar and kitchen utensils came in hand. We traveled here with our kiddos whom loved the little piece of heaven on earth. Every year two of my daughters go down to Southwestern Virginia and stay with their family and we drive down and pick them up. I believe we will be staying here again in the future!

Relaxing weekend in Virginia

The cabin was cozy with plenty of room inside and out to relax and visit. The area was beautiful and unique with easy access to shopping and entertainment. The cabin was well furnished and gave you the chance to enjoy historic construction with all modern conveniences. We hope to come back!

The little cabin is sweet and nice!

The area was new to us and so we also had a fun time exploring and the Rural Retreat area. The cabin was clean and just the right size for me and my hubs plus our son and his GF. The kitchen was good for preparing meals, the single bath served fine for 4 people plus the beds were comfy. Coffee in the morning on the front porch was nice to experience the quiet country atmosphere. Krista the host was accommodating and her communication was very friendly and professional. All around 5 star rating for a nice rustic getaway. We plan to return soon to unwind.

Romantic Getaway in a quiet country setting

Wonderful place to get away. Very cozy and adorable with all the modern amenities. We loved everything about the log cabin and were very impressed and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Cute & Cozy Cabin in the Woods

This cabin was SO cute and cozy! My husband, kids, and I all loved it! All the rustic charm of the 1800s, but with the nice touch of modern amenities! The gas heater brought back nostalgic memories from my childhood with my grandparents house. We would most definitely stay again!

Virginia cabin

The place was a little more “rustic” than we expected from the online photos. My only significant complaint would be the gas log heater. Despite the instructions provided by the owner, we couldn’t figure out the heater so we ended up with no heat for the one night we stayed in the cabin. We could have reached out to the property owner to ask how to operate the heater but we did not because it was only one night and not that cold outside. I will give the owner the benefit of the doubt and assume she would have been helpful with the heater since she was friendly in our previous interactions. Overall, it was a good stay but I think overpriced & the property could use some updates.
