Great modern hotel with high floors and spacious rooms. All rooms have a great view as there are no other towers close by. Hotel is also connected to a mall and is only 5 minutes walk from the exhibition center, very convinient.

Upon arrival we chose to upgrade to the Horizon club executive room. The executive room is situated at the top floor with a breathtaking view of Shanghai city. The breakfast in the lobby was very busy and food did not get replenished quickly enough due to the high volume of guests, unfortunately this resulted in dry cakes, pastries and dumplings. However the manager Cassie demonstrated professional hospitality when resolving our issue with the disappointing breakfast. The club service was minimal to non-existent on the first few days of our stay. (We made our drinks ourselves from the bar, staff were inattentive and relatively unprofessional) We raised this issue to Serena (evening duty manager), She promptly let the team know and the next day the service did improve significantly. We appreciated the efficiency of responding and resolving guests concerns, food and decorations were beautifully presented for the coming festive season. After the issues resolved, we enjoyed a fantastic stay with spectacular views from the club and our room. The afternoon tea was particularly impressive all pieces were delicious, highly recommend. The Shangri-la Jing’an Shanghai is certainly a great stay for corporate or leisure.

Housekeeping was incredibly attentive — they refreshed our room twice a day and always made sure everything was spotless. What touched us the most was the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff. Thanks for another great stay. We stayed in #5831, which is a wonderful room. However, the toilet seems to have some problems. Also, the TV is blocking a magnificent view of Shanghai. I'm not sure where it could be moved to, but its current position is not great with regards to viewing the scenery.
