The cottage was very clean, and the property itself is beautiful. It is a peaceful spot on the lake and a nice place to relax. However, there were a few aspects of the listing that were somewhat misleading during our stay. The 2nd bedroom is actually an open loft, so there is very little privacy for anyone staying upstairs. Also, the kitchen sink has extremely low water pressure, which made washing dishes difficult.Parking was also a little odd. The one parking space is located very close to the fire pit. We ended up moving our vehicle each evening so we could safely enjoy a fire without worrying about damaging the car.The beach access is quite limited—less than 50 feet—which was difficult with both a toddler and a dog. While the property is pet-friendly, there is an additional fee for one dog under 50 pounds. The owner did eventually allow us to use the dock, which we appreciated, but until then I was concerned about accidentally trespassing.1 other thing to note is that the property is managed by a property management company rather than the listed host. Communication before arrival was frustrating, as we spent significant time on hold and often received different answers from different representatives. We did not receive a direct local contact until the day of check-in.Overall, this is a clean and attractive property in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay, but clearer listing details and improved communication would have helped.
