We loved our stay at Casa Kuaa! After a long trip through Mexico this was the perfect little oasis for relaxing at the beach but also close to the busy main road with bars, restaurants and cafes. The room was big and clean, It also featured a nice balcony to listen to the sound of the waves. The staff was super friendly and helpful and had a lot of great recommendations for restaurants, bars and cafes in town. We definitely recommend and would come back!

Great small boutique hotel right on the beach. Our room was a bit basic but the common areas and being right on the beach made up for it. Very small number of staff but they were very friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants super close.

Highly recommend. There was a bit of construction noise but the whole region is under construction. One of the few properties right on the beach and near the main strip. Cannot recommend enough. Would definatley stay here again.

This is a very small hotel situated right on the beach. Although the street where it’s situated is not paved, it’s a minor inconvenience compared to the services and the views.

We LOVED this hotel! 10/10 recommend. The staff is so friendly, we met people from all over the world, and the room was very comfortable. Great AC, great water pressure, very clean. We walked less than 50 yds and we were on the beach.

This location was the only hotel to not have a generator to back up the power outage! No running water and no power for 2 days. Terrible communication with the guests and didn’t seem to care about it.

Were to begin...Our stay at Casa Kuaa was not what any vacationer would expect. The service at check in was rushed and not friendly. Although we were helped to our room with a gorgeous view, welcome staff did not give us our welcome bracelets, or tell us about the bar/ cafe or how to use the remotes for the AC. The first night the electricity and plumbing went out from about 2:20am to 2:20pm, a total of 12 hours in extreme humidity and heat. Staff did not ask anyone how they were doing, or offer water or ice or even tell guests about what was going on or what was being worked on. I was so thankful to have access to two pools and of course the beach and a friendly staff at the cafe/bar. On our last night there, the electricity and plumbing did go out again, but for only 30 minutes. Again, no communication from hotel staff. On both occasions, I did notice that the surrounding hotels DID have power. The day before we left we did make a request to reserve a taxi back to Oaxaca City and staff failed to reserve the taxi for us. Overall, Casa Kuaa has terrible service, terrible communication, fantastic views and beaches and a very friendly cafe/ bar staff. Think twice before you make your reservation.

Casa Qua KUAA is undeniably beautiful and has a calm, stylish vibe. When we first arrived, we were given a very small room — more like a box — but thankfully we were able to upgrade to a more spacious option. The upgraded room was much better, with a large, modern bathroom, and we appreciated how soundproof everything felt. It’s oceanfront, though there’s a wide sandy patch you have to cross to get to the water. One thing to note: they don’t offer beach towels, so make sure to bring your own or be ready to buy some locally. There’s no TV, which may be a plus if you’re looking to fully unplug. One of our favorite parts was the presence of adorable cats on site — they were sweet and made the stay even more charming. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but we likely wouldn’t return. After our stay, we found other nearby options that offered more amenities and luxury for either the same price or just a little more, making them a better value. Still, Casa Qua KUAA is a solid choice for a one-time getaway of a couple days — especially if you appreciate a peaceful atmosphere and a cute, low-key environment.
