Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience here. The staff (we only encountered one person) was not very welcoming. The room was not clean. The floor had crumbs and dirt in all crevices. The bed sheets were clean-ish, but FULL of hair. So gross. It made me think that they share a washing machine with a barber shop or something. Plus, the sheets had lots of stains. I understand the desire to be sustainable, and not throw out perfectly good sheets. However, it didn't feel good to sleep on what looked like old coffee stains on white sheets. Hair in the bathtub too. Dust behind the TV. We had to leave too early in the morning to try the restaurant, so I don't know if the food is any good. Given everything else, I'm guessing it's not. Overall, this place is cute and affordable, but I just couldn't get past the filthiness.

We got there late and wanted to get some water from the vending machine but it only took cash. Would be great if they modernized the machines. It was good for the price and shortness of visit as we were there to visit ucsc.
