Conveniently located to the wharf/board walk... definitely within walking distance. Felt like a safe area. The parking lot could stand to be a little more roomy. Didn't get to try out the pool since it was rained by. Continental breakfast has a great selection. Would stay here again

Stayed one night and did not check out any beach or sights due to extreme weather.

We loved this hotel. Check in was smooth. Staff was very friendly & welcoming. Hotel room was clean, beds were very comfy and had a microwave and fridge! It was close to downtown and the beach though we didnt go to the beach because it is February. 10 min walk to downtown. Area was safe. Parking was a breeze and we got to check in early and check out late at noon for no extra charge. You can check out as late as 3pm for $25. Breakfast was basic with a waffle maker, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, bread, some fruit & coffee and juice. Waffles were so good. I recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, close proximity to both downtown and the beach, friendly staff & amenities (fridge, microwave, free parking, free breakfast). Great stay.

Great location, free parking, spacious rooms. Somewhat old (tube TV, lived in furnitures), but clean. Would stay there again.

decent hotel in a great location. nice king size bed. friendly staff. clean.

Everything about the location is wonderful. You are close enough to walk to just about everything without the craziness of people crawling all over the streets. The bed was comfortable, the chairs in the room were comfortable and handy. It was the perfect launching spot and a good place to recoup. after being out and about. Thank you.

The price is right for a Santa Cruz night. Close walk to the beach and boardwalk. Good base to get to surrounding areas. Comfortable motel. Standard breakfast. Slept well.

Nice hotel, close to boardwalk and the Pier. Spent the evening at the Boardwalk at the carnival, had dinner on the Pier, watched otters swimming in the ocean and elephant sea lions under the pier.

Half Mile walk to the pier, half mile walk to downtown, and a mile to the Boardwalk! Great location and Clean...great place to sleep. I don't really care about amenities because the only thing I'm doing in my room and is showering and sleeping. Clean, Quite, and Walking distance to everything! Was there on a family Trip.

Our room had a horrible smell. After going online and reading reviews about it being pet friendly, I realized the smell was cat pee. Opening the window helped a little bit. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work and the bathroom door hinges were rusty.

I've stayed at this hotel many times now and is the only place I will stay when I got to Santa cruz. Clean hotel with all the amenities you need inside the room. Short walk to both beach and Boardwalk. Free breakfast in the morning with lots of options. Lots of families stay at this hotel so make sure to keep it quiet when it gets late as we received a noise complaint.

Very good for the price. Updated room in good location. Remember to rinse the coffee cup well before use.

We stayed a night with 2 kids. Kids spent most time on Beach. 12 year old learned how to surf.

Hotel prices in Santa Cruz are expensive, so considering its proximity to the beach and historic Santa Cruz this is a good bet. We brought our small dog and they gave us dog treats and a sheet of pet friendly restaurants and sites. The hotel itself is a bit worn, but the room was clean, the beds were fairly comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. There are two jacuzzis and a pool and they provide breakfasts. The walls are thin (so a noisy neighbor could be a problem) and the TV is old, but otherwise, it's perfectly fine for a couple of nights.

The hotel was located nicely between the college and beach-boardwalk. We enjoyed both. It was nice to be greeted by a smiling face. We enjoyed the hotel and was even able to check in early. My granddaughter really enjoyed the shower! Thank you for a nice stay.

We had been on the road all day from Josua Tree music festival. I booked the room online. We specifically wanted a jacuzzi tub to soak our aching bodies. Unfortunately we rolled in at 8:45 and were told we couldn't run the jets on the tub after 10. We got to the room which was nice, the tub was huge but it took over half an hour to fill full enough to use the jets. So we were unable to use the jets more than 20 min. A real disappointment considering the price. It was a nice enough hotel however.

Good stopping point between Northern California and the Monterey area!

We had a great time. The hotel location was great. Easy walking distance to the pier and boardwalk. The room was comfortable . the continental breakfast was adequate. We would stay here again.

This is a loud, family beach hotel. Don't come here if you want to relax or have a romantic getaway. It is perfect for families who want to easy beach access, pool, etc. There are not many options near the beach that are updated and clean that don't cost over 200 night. This hotel is in great need of an update. TVs are circa 1980 and the direct tv doesn't work well with them. Had to have staff come up to get our direct tv to work. Didn't use the very old hot tub in bath because it smelled so strongly of disinfectant. Family friendly YES, close to boardwalk, YES, quiet No. Ear plugs are in the rooms.

Was located close to the board walk and restraunts good hotel for a reasonable price
